Traxx to Doka playing from start to end for 8 hours 
{150 person capacity/maximum vibes}

the demonstration for Doka was the 3rd exclusive 
edition of dirtyblends entitled: ⚙️🎛 TecHnique ⚙️🎛 
further showcasing musical blueprints of all rare chicago 
tracks both old and new, plus many NEW tracks unheard 
from dirtyblends along with raw disco, funk and edits all 
over and in between like the days of old in chicago diving 
deep into the ghosts of Ron Hardy at the Music Box, 
Liaisons Dangereuses at the Hacienda, NEW music 
from Nation and Kode plus INSANE unreleased treasures 
from Prince come together to raise the room’s musical 
temperature and awareness that was a self-evident 
spiritual experience, illumination, truth, emotional depth 
and suspension of time.

this demonstration has lots of new music to come from several 
releases we won’t announce just yet but what has been provided 
in this document is hours upon hours that is literally all over the 
rhythm 🎵 scales ⚖️

this was an intimate connection to the dance floor..

Unearth Neptunian reflections from the Puget Sound with livwutang. The Seattle-based DJ and party curator is a member of @tufseattle, resident of the label @techstartup's party series, and sometimes an environmental justice organizer. 

Liv's Neptunian reflections: 
"I meditated on quite a few different concepts for this mix and talked it over with several dear friends of mine. It went through multiple transformations, as my mixes usually do...I think there are only 2 or 3 bits of the original tracklist that survived its multiple iterations! This mix is a bit different than my others in that its got a strong underlying personal emotional current and is slightly less linear than anything I’ve recorded in the past. I’ve been thinking a lot about uncertainty the past few months. It’s a feeling that has been permeating my psyche with particular intensity in the past week, which is when I recorded the final version of this. While I was picking out the tracklist and mixing, I allowed myself to sink into the uncertainty I’ve been experiencing...in my relationships, in our collective future on this earth, in the lives of my loved ones...I felt myself traversing so many different forms of it throughout the course of the mix: genuine curiosity, fear, exhilaration, anxiety, comfort, grief, sentiments I can’t quite articulate. I hope it can serve as an auditory companion to any uncertainty those who listen to it may be feeling too, in all its vast multitudes and non-linearity."

There's no question in the remarkable quality of the musical outputs that Melbourne has to offer. Every now and then however, something truly special comes across your musical desk. For me, one of the most exciting projects to come of 2020 is Acopia.

Acopia brings together three local Melbourne musicians @purient, @liluzu and @morganwright, commendable all in their individual endeavours, but together converge to showcase a contemporary incarnation of stripped back, emotional synth pop reminiscent of the 80s. Their debut EP 'For You I Try' is everything I love packaged in two neat little arrangements, warm yet melancholy and worthy of a tear or two. Acopia's less is more approach to music will no doubt see them flourish into their bright future. I'm counting down the days until we can see Acopia take the stage live, but for now Lachie, Kate, and Morgan joined me for a chat and one hour guest mix, broadcast live on PBS Melbourne for Passing Notes episode 81.
