Passing Notes welcomes its second virtual guest, Gallery B. Gallery B aka Emma Stevenson is the kind of artist that can craft a set for every possible occasion - something that I’ve been admiring through delving into her vast back catalogue of inspiring mixes.  Such versatility only comes to the deepest of diggers, those that consider music and sound in all its forms. Emma’s deep appreciation for music and sound has also found her stepping away from the booth and into the studio, recently launching her moniker Gallery B, which encompasses her exquisite contemporary ambient project. 

Her debut tape release “Omni Era” on Divisions is simply mesmerising. Stunning layers of texture created through hardware, sampling and field recordings. Trance-like ambience for contemplation, reflection, dreaming. Anyone to hear this could mistake this for years experience - I eagerly await her ‘Dream Machine’ performance at Inner Varnika 2021 as well as what’s to come for Gallery B. 

Here, Gallery B presents an off the cuff mix of UK downtempo and ambient techno, the perfect beginning to any Passing Notes episode.

Felt good to experiment out loud and mix this live with a very cozy audience at The Lot Radio last night. People surrounded a bonfire, enjoying cider, beers, and laughter by the kiosk as I dj'ed.
