I am from Romania, a magic place regarding the underground electronic scene, which inspires me all the time to find new sounds. 

A while ago I discovered Dub Techno and I was really sucked into it. 

About my music production I try to find a blend between the romanian 
groove and dub techno and I think I am really close to achieve what I 
was looking for.

With a multicultural background and a passion for vinyl collecting, the Norwegian DJ and producer, Karina is a globetrotting electronic music artist whose nomadic lifestyle has profoundly influenced her sound. A deep appreciation for Detroit and Chicago house music, fused with a Berlin influenced minimalist approach to production, has earned her a dedicated following, and her vinyl selection is seductive, laid-back, and hypnotic while maintaining a driving, motivating rhythm.
For over two decades, Karina's professional music career has flourished, earning her recognition and appreciation within the global dance music industry. An avid collector and player of all things vinyl, she is one of the residents and creators of Ibizas successful weekly open-air party The Zoo Project. Berlin, her second home, exposed her to its raw creativity helping her develop her production skills whilst playing frequently at venues such as Kater Holzig, Sisyphos or Kitkat.  Apart from Europe, her passion for music has taken her on countless journeys around the world, where she has performed her unique fusion of house and techno music at renowned venues and festivals, spanning genres from disco to techno - all on vinyl!
Back in 2010, during her first visit to New York, Karina collaborated with Brooklyn's finest Blk Market, which resulted in a series of performances at various warehouses across the city over the early 2000s. She shared the decks with renowned artists like Robag Wruhme, Seth Troxler, and Daniel Bell, among others,
and was the first DJ to ever play at legendary Panther Room in New York. Karina has ever since frequently toured North America performing in top notch spots such as Housepitality in San Francisco, Creme de la Creme in Dallas, Smart Bar Chicago or Eaton Hotel in Washington DC. In The Big Apple she's known for her house and techno selection at several venues such as Brooklyn Mirage or Elsewhere to playing disco at smaller Manhattan hangouts like Nublu Classic. The C&K project launched together with NYC native Connie Yin at the end of 2018, had the two artists joining forces to play the final month of its existence at the legendary Panther Room in Williamsburg. Confident in their choices, C&K blend a variety of sounds, experimenting with 4/4 beats and unquantified live minimal arrangements.
Karina's production skills are respected, as evidenced by her releases on labels such as 'God Particle', 'Cymawax,' and 'Absence Seizure', and an upcoming vinyl release with Connie Yin as C&K on London's Decay Records. Her musical expertise and contributions to the industry have also earned her the role of Head of Industry Relations at Dance TV, cementing her position as a sought-after artist and respected leader in the world of electronic music.
Overall, Karina's music is an electrifying mix of global influences and production techniques, making her a dynamic force in the electronic music scene.

WARE and label boss https://soundcloud.com/mathias-schaffhauser rather appropriately celebrate the quarter century with four new tracks, and these reflect like a microcosm the label essence: stylistic openness, creativity, experimentation and sense of humour. Everything without a pinched intention (so much for essence and that with the four tracks), always trusting in chance and with calculated slips.
Specifically, this means on this catalog number 103:
"Major Ending" comes in two versions - as a minimal-house hybrid in the club mix, striding and beat-free in the couch mix, both times with rather unusual melodicism and a titular ending. "Knowledge Wants A Future" gallops along at 129 bpm in breakbeat mode and lyrically addresses knowledge building in the face of an uncertain future (yeah!). Finally, track number three called "Intermaterial Jam" lets strange voices and spirited laughter meet free drumming and familiar house home.

Grown up in Berne, Switzerland, Juila Michels aka Juli Lee does not reveal on first sight the little Nerd that hides under her mane of curly hair.

Her favourite topics are Delays, Equalizer, Sidechains and Basssounds as well as Audiogear or just music in general.

If you have an appointment with her ‘after the studio’, you will most probably get 3 messages, each postponing the meeting to an hour later, and worst case to the next dawn because Miss Lee can't break away from her latest production. Her answer to the question: “But what did you do till 5am ?”, will presumably and quite natural be: “I was looking for the right kick drum!” Music is her first priority, without competition. Even if you are sitting next to her at the movies, she will suddenly take her phone to note down some sound ideas she just had and then wriggle about on her chair because she can’t wait to transform her sudden inspiration into action.

Her creative work has even intensified once more, ever since Ben Mühlethaler, owner of the B-Note Studios has taken her under his wings as a protégé. To be able to learn from a grandmaster of mixing and producing feels like a great privilege to her and she uses every second to look over Ben’s shoulder.

The need to share her musical discoveries with others was always present in Juli Lee’s live. Nightly sound orgies for hours and hours were daily fare in the badly heated old city department.

Not to bow to any genre is part of what gives Juli Lee’s music it’s attraction. Unconventionally she combines groovy rhythms and driving basslines with elements of a broad variety of well selected styles and succeeds to create a homogenous sound, despite diversity. The bottom line of her sound is a danceable catchy mix of House&Techno or as she would describe it: I play music between 116 and 126 BPM.

Next releases can be expected on the Berlin based label Welldone!Music, the German Label 136° Recordings, as well as the American label King Street Records and the Swiss Label Inyan Music.
