Ich finde jedes tolle Projekt, gerade wenn es vom Herzen kommt, sollte ein würdiges und schönes Ende haben. Deswegen habe ich mich vor ca. 3 Monaten dazu entschlossen meine Aktivitäten bei Afterhour Sounds und vor allem meine kleine, aber doch sehr feine Podcast-Reihe sound(ge)cloud zu beenden. Anfangs ist diese Entscheidung irgendwie sehr spontan und aus dem Bauch heraus entstanden. Aber nun nach ca. 3 Monaten muss ich sagen ist es eine gute Entscheidung für mich und schafft Platz für Neues … weil Stillstand ist irgendwie nicht so mein Ding. 

Die Gründe wieso ich keine Lust mehr habe so viel Zeit in dieses elektronische Musikdings zu stecken sind vielfältig und eigentlich auch nicht wirklich wichtig. Viel wichtiger ist was ich aus den 5 Jahren mitnehme konnte. Das sind auf jeden Fall viele tolle Momente mit fantastischer Musik. Viele tiefgehende Gespräche mit Menschen die zu Freunden geworden sind. Verrückte Erlebnisse die man eigentlich nur auf Techno-Partys erleben kann. Ich würde sagen ALLES in ALLEM und in SUMME --- Bewusstseinserweiternd.

Für den letzten Podcast war eigentlich auch sofort klar … dass hier nur Doob & Janoma in frage kommen können. Sound(ge)cloud und Janosch und Andi sind eine ganz besondere Beziehung. Ihr erster gemeinsamer Auftritt war auch gleichzeitig mein erster Podcast. Und was gibt es Besseres als mit dem aufzuhören mit dem man angefangen hat. So schließt sich der Kreis und das ganze wird eine runde Sache 😃 5 Jahre sound(ge)cloud und 5 Jahre doob & janoma … eine tolle Experience 💖

Und wie immer bei Doob & Janoma ist der Podcast genau auf den Punkt. Ihre selbst gesetzte Mission für diesen Podcast war „zeitlose Schönheit mit Tiefgang“ für mich zu kreieren. Hey ihr Schnuckis, ich kann dazu nur sagen „mission accomplished“. Besser kann man nicht aufhören …

Neben Andi und Janosch möchte ich mich natürlich bei allen fantastischen Künstlern bedanken, die diese Reihe mit ihrer grenzenlosen Liebe zur elektronischen Tanzmusik zu etwas ganz Besonderem gemacht haben. Es war in 136 Folgen kein Podcast dabei der nicht genau für diesen Moment gepasst hätte --- IHR seid einfach SPITZE.

Und ganz am Ende geht natürlich ein Dickes DANKESCHÖN an meine Hörer weltweit die über die vielen Jahre treu dieser Reihe gefolgt sind geliked, repost und kommentiert haben. Es hat mir große Freude bereitet für euch die Perlen aus dem Dschungel der elektronischen Musik zu tauchen … ich hoffe ihr hattet die ein oder andere großartige Stunde damit.

Und wie ein guter Freund von mir immer sagte, wenn ich mich von ihm verabschiedet habe:

I like to interpret this as more of a timeless journey with various alternating feelings than of a set. I just hit the 7 year anniversary of my first ever gig on Sept.13, 2013,  shortly after moving to Toronto. It was at a little place called B1 Design Bar & Lounge on College Street, which no longer exists and it signified my purpose for being here. 150+ gigs....41 episodes of Undercurrents....3 European tours...and so many wonderful people along the way have helped shape this journey in to something quite incredible. Intense dedication, time, and energy has gone in to developing juSt b - in to accomplishing what I came here to do and for that I am truly proud & forever grateful  🙏🏻

Thx to all those who came out and weathered the storm (literally!) at the magical Orphan Burn on Sept.6-7th - what a crazy night it was!!
