Hello Again... I hope all is well with you... 

Trying to find inspiration to write a song can be challenging... most recently I did not have the inspiration to complete any of my unfinished projects... or to write anything new.... 

When that happens I look to others for advice or a sort of tagline to find the inspiration to be creative and write something... I like to call this form of writing a "challenge" or 'challenge writing'
Especially when I'm stuck however over the last couple of weeks that was not the case...

This challenge was given to me by a friend and fellow songwriter Sam... of course with V-day coming up... he wanted a love song... and he's talented at writing those... so I asked "what's my tag?" and he said "perfection and how it relates to your life!" Immediately I told myself it definitely will not be a love song...

In thinking about perfection and the desire to be perfect... personally I feel the only thing perfect in this world is planet earth and how it sustains life... versus other planets... but I did not want to write a song entirely about that... I also feel perfection has to do with belief... 

Since I have grown spiritually.... the discipline I gained from that may come off as "wanting to be perfect" But in reality.... growth & knowledge is power; sometimes the confidence behind that also comes off as "trying to be perfect!" 

Regardless of that... as humans I do believe we are supposed to strive for perfection... So to thine own self be true! I hope you enjoy this one... and Sam I hope this challenge was a success!

I am already working on my next challenge... it's from my friend Jennifer... who was like "you know what time of year it is! I want a love song!" (valentines day)... so she tagged me to write about these three words... "Long, Live, Love" we'll see what I come up with... I'm already writing it... and I'll try to compete it by V-day!... maybe?...

Hello Again... I am ready to share my latest work. It's a new song that I began writing three weeks ago when my chest was congested and I couldn't record. By God's grace I am 100% now... (you might hear it in my voice on this song)

So I call this one: "Some Lovers"

I was feeling nostalgic about my twenties and childhood when I began writing this one. It's about moving too fast with love and relationships. I have always been patient about that stuff. 

While observing other relationships over the years... I always thought "what's the rush? what's the hurry?" Well my interpretation of the rush and the hurry is in this song... 

As long as I'm doing the things I love most... everything else will fall into place... and I mean Everything! 

I hope you like it! I hope it doesn't come off as judgmental; it is a song for everybody! Enjoy.

Some Lovers....

Hello Again... I am ready to share my latest work. It is titled: "Limitless"

Now I began writing this song in 2020; I planned for it to be a pop song about how I am limitless... Over the last four years I am sure that I made several arrangements but was never satisfied... so I kept putting it off.

Usually after I finish one project; I start working on another... rarely will I work on two projects at once... After I finished my last project... I was thinking what is next.... so I took a look at my unfinished songs...

And thought, what will it take for me to complete a demo for "Limitless?" 

Now after about ten complete projects... I will go out of my lane and write something inspirational about the wonders and tender mercies of God's love for us.... 

I don't believe God called me to write in one particular genre... (but he did call me to write!) I would bore myself writing the same things over and over... again... I like variety... I like to challenge myself...

This song was beginning to be a challenge when I began recording it... but I got through it. The lyrics in the verses are not changed much... I made them less about myself and more about my higher power. The hook changed quite a bit. I had fun converting this one.

Now that I finished it... I'm glad I went in a different direction... after working on this one... I learned that I see myself as more "selfless" than limitless... and that might just be the spirit talking to me... thanking me for not gloating over myself...

I have made this production for the my late brother who passed on the 23 October 2023.. We were meant to lock this prod in October.. His spirit is on this beat...every time i play this beat ..i have some tear drops ... I would soon releasing a track to his honor.. Aspik !!!!!!!!

Hello Again... after a few technical difficulties... I am ready to share my latest work... It is titled: "Done!"

This is a song about being whole & complete.... Being done with all the games, the cliché's, the soul searching & seeking, plots & schemes, bad habits, or whatever else makes us feel incomplete... 

I struggled recording this one a bit... I decided not to use a drums... so that was different for me... I usually record with a drum and then just take it out... I totally did the vocals without a drum... I wanted to highlight that piano you hear in the background anyway!

Hello Again... I am ready to share my latest work titled: "Focus?"

I began writing this song back in 2021 if I am not mistaken... and never found the inspiration to finish the project until now. I added a pre-chorus and that's about the only change from the original lyrics... the pre-chorus that I came up with helped me get through it... I made a whole new arrangement for the track and I'm satisfied with the final product.

It's been so long since I wrote it... I really cannot remember my inspiration behind the song... But I have been known to have the ability to keep people focused... 

It's a song about the admiration that people all over the world have for me... however, now that I am done with the demo... I imagine once it is produced it will be something you can work out to!!! I hope you like it!

Hello Again… my latest work is titled: “When The Sky’s Falling” This is a song that I wrote in 2015.

I began writing a new project last week and needed some more time writing… and I wanted to be consistent with my followers and decided to complete something that is already written…

Back then this song was inspired by real life situations that made me feel “the sky must be falling!”

Well… not much has changed today… this song is even more appropriate now with some of the current events in our world.

As I was nearing the end of the recording… I began to think about the planet, climate change, and nature… and all the changes those entities are going through… and I began to feel it was kind of appropriate for earth day this month… Maybe you’ll feel it too…

I want this to be a “World Song” that I hope you enjoy… thanks for listening and supporting!

When The Sky's Falling...

Hello Again... I am ready to share my latest work with you! It's titled: "Worried bout Rain?"

Back in 2015 I wrote a song called "the Rain." and this is technically an updated version... but I practically re-wrote the verses however, the hook is from the original version.

This is a song about pursuing a relationship with someone who is reluctant to be in a relationship; 

Maybe they think it's bad timing with everything that's going on in the world; perhaps they're recovering from a break up and heart break and don't want to deal with another stormy relationship. 

This is a song about how rainy days as it pertain to emotion can have a positive and negative effect on your life.
