AXIOMATIZE - I Am Evil EP [Electrix Recordings // ELECTRIX015]

25 years ago Billy Nasty launched Electrix Records to shine a light on quality Electro releases for the floor. The label has gone on to release music from the likes of Zeta Reticula (a.k.a. Umek), Carl Finlow / Silicon Scally, The Advent, RadioNasty, London Modular and many more. Now after a 5 year hiatus Electrix returns for this momentous anniversary with the "I Am Evil" EP by AXIOMATIZE.

AXIOMATIZE is a new collaboration between Orson Bramley – the remaining member of long running cult Electro act Transparent Sound and James Preston a.k.a. DJ Manipulate of the infamous international scratch act, Skratchlords. The formation of AXIOMATIZE has the sole purpose of breaking down the boundaries that the stagnant, non-progressive dance music scene is dominated by, as they set to deliver a non-linear electro sound of the unreachable future.

Up first is the blistering "Leviatron" with its corrugated drum patterns, snappy hits and computer circuitry in meltdown, delivering a dystopian vibe. "I Am Evil (Extended Mix)" is dark and brooding with a mischievous low end prowling beneath the drums and talkbox vocals. Meanwhile, the closer, "Turbo Specs" is a crisp and bouncy cut with nimble low end and meticulous drum designs.

AXIOMATIZE – the process of reducing a system to basic truths.

German Angst is a rather mysterious DJ-Team operating on the axis between the North Rhine-Westphalian art metropole Dusseldorf and East Germany's Electro capital Leipzig. Since 2019 the two DJs, which like to stay unknown, try to connect the dots between east and west - focussing on classic and real Electro from all over the world, played straight from wax.
