" 'Giovanni je ne t'oublierai jamais'

C'est une réplique d'un film, "Sicilia" de Jean-Marie Straub et Danièle Huillet.

On peut l'entendre au début de cet enregistrement. Elle est dite par Danièle Huillet elle-même, en train de monter le film sur lequel Pedro Costa tourne lui même un film, documentaire celui-là, sur le couple au travail ("Où gît votre sourire enfoui ?"). On entend ensuite Jean-Marie Straub qui vocifère et parle de forme, de sculpture, de montage.

Si j'ai commencé ce set par ces répliques c'est parce que ce duo de réalisateurs est une de mes figures tutélaires de "résistance". Résistance à ce qu'est devenu le cinéma, au rythme qu'on lui impose, au réalisme financier qui le mine, à ses codes. 

Pas nécessairement partisan, résister c'est d'abord résister dans son domaine, avec ceux qui nous entourent, pas nécessairement dans la lumière, avec sobriété.

Je déteste les discours prétentieux sur la nuit et il faut remettre les choses à leur place, une soirée techno n'est pas un acte politique majeur. 

Mais à leur niveau, ceux qui font Champ Libre résistent. Cachés sans être inaccessibles, ils résistent à ce que sont trop souvent devenus les clubs à Paris, à la dictature des line-up de dj stars, à l'ordre qui tue la fête, à la promotion médiatique.

Je me suis rarement senti aussi bien pour jouer qu'à Champ Libre et je pense que ça tient à tout ça. Et j'espère que ça s'entend."
