Mark Kloud - Nothing Really Matters [Premiere]

Counterpoint kicks off the fall season with the return of one of our most prominent core artists - Nemy. Following up on his single with us last year, he delivers the perfect epilogue with another 2 tracks which showcase his unceasing musical evolution.

Since he last released on Counterpoint, Serbia based Nemanja "Nemy” Brakovic has been pushing the boundaries of his sound design. During this process he has made major steps forward in fine tuning the balance between more technical and creative aspects of his sonics. His hard work has been building an increasing amount of interest and reflecting on what seems to be an exponential career. During the last year he has secured releases on a number of renowned labels and has been featured on UKF’s – “We need to talk about” article series.

Whilst working with our core artists, our main concern is to deliver a 20/20 perspective of the Counterpoint bassline groove and this single in another perfect of it!

“My goal over these years was to capture this duality, and I believe these tunes do just that.”

Influenced by the deep, melodic sounds of late 2000s and early 2010s artists like Ill Logic & Raf, Mutt, dBridge, and Marcus Intalex, this project is meant to resonate both in at home listening and on the dance floor.

Jovenes helps youth, ages 18-25, end their cycle of homelessness. Located in Boyle Heights and serving communities throughout Southeast LA County, they work deeply with youth focusing on not only their needs for housing, but also healthcare, education, employment and trauma recovery.

All That Really Matters

The heart chakra, or Anahata, is the fourth chakra, located in the center of the chest. It is the energy center of love, compassion, forgiveness, and connection—both to ourselves and others. When balanced, it opens us to giving and receiving love freely, and cultivates empathy, peace, and emotional healing. This track is composed in the musical note F, which resonates with the heart chakra, and features the bija mantra YAM, which can be chanted to open and harmonize this center of unconditional love. It is also tuned to 432Hz, a frequency believed to promote cellular healing and emotional balance.
