Musical enlightenment was not long in coming in his new home.
In true Berlin fashion, the full-blooded dancer embarked on a musical voyage of discovery through the city's well-known clubs.
With the new impressions he gained, MOTOW formed his own style and turned his inner self inside out with his driving technoid sets.
For him, the most beautiful thing is to be able to reveal something of his emotions to his fellow dancers in this way.

For the latest release on his consistently impressive Mate Records imprint, Madrid stalwart Rafa Santos has turned to Parisian twosome Groove Boys Project. Their take on house tends towards the nostalgic and musically expansive, and the four tracks assembled here fit that description. They begin by joining the dots between Kerri Chandler style garage-house and dreamier European deep house on 'Keep On Dreamin' (Club Mix)', before expertly fusing elements of new age house, Italo-house and solo-laden US deep house on 'Sunrise (Underwater Mix)'. Over on the flip, 'The Jazz Palace (Long Ride Mix)' is a vibraphone-solo laden chunk of rolling deep house warmth and Rawai hook-up 'Djoon Trax (937 Classsic Mix)' sees the duo add delicious jazz guitar solos to a sun-soaked deep house groove rich in rubbery synth-bass.

Saturday night at The Burn is the final chapter of the week that is. There is a saying that The Burn will not always give you what you want but will always and most certainly give you what you need. This set reflected pretty much the complexity that the Burn bestowed upon me. Oh wozers did it deliver on what I needed!

Despite my low energy before I played, simply because I had spent such a focused week working on The Train, the first track sorted me out and five minutes in and the energy from the crowd sent me straight back up. That energy was crazy beautiful. Wow I cannot begin to describe!

Starting out the week with a childish and playful approach ended on Saturday with a somewhat complex, deep and somewhat edgy with a sprinkle of trickster. That need allowed me to take a journey not done before in my musical journey..... This set was completely unplanned and was totally happy with where the energy and the crowd took me. My spirit dwells in the heart of this lovely train and the magic that it casts on those that pay attention to it. Gratitude!

VieL - Vasilis Lampaounas, was born in Greece in 1979. He started his career in 1994 as a radio producer-dj. Exploring several sounds such as acid jazz, soul, ambient, techno and drum' n' bass, finally to be infatuated with electronic music. After that and for a series of years since today he has taken part to many events as a guest or a resident dj in some of the most renown  places in Athens.

In 2009 he started his first steps in creating electronic music and based on his mood he processes with his favourite music genres: Deep House, Electronica and Melodic House, currently preparing his new set of music productions.

Some of his tracks get featured and supported by: Lost Desert, Yoko0, Nick Warren, Armen Miran, Death on The Balkony, Gorje Hewek & Izhevski, Kora, David Hohme & m.o.
