Next up our Origins Tapes series is musician, producer, DJ and label owner Priori who is best known for their beautiful cross-over tracks and mixes and their label NAFF that they run with fellow artist Ex-Terrestial. 

Based and born Quebec and currently based in Montréal , Priori represents the Canadian dance music scene worldwide through both their individual output and their label’s. They have also become known for their technical ability in the studio which has led to them mixing projects for fellow artists such as Rosa Terence, Ex-terrestrial and Gene Tellem.

Priori’s hypnotic soundscapes have meant that they have the ability to create worlds around their audience with both their live shows, live DJ sets and online mixes and we are excited to be welcoming them for our Origins Tapes series.

Turkish record label Oath prepare to release their next cosmic dispatch from Rome-based groove scientist SofaTalk. Our pick from the release, ‘Drum Circle’, plunges headfirst into percussive psychedelia, SofaTalk’s drum programming twisting and turning like a Möbius strip of South London-bred syncopation and Mediterranean heatwave. A kinetic lattice of space-dusted samples and bass arpeggios locks into orbit, while spectral vocal echoes ripple through the mix like ghosts of future-disco utopias. Digging up secrets of forgotten rebels and archives of Le Monde Diplomatique put him on every mega-corporation’s lists of men to shoot on sight but fleeing Earth with the Kizi404 compadres gave him hope that his wish of shoving the American Dream up every M.O.F.O’s ass could one day become true.

Exactly one year after my 2024 release entitled 'Public Relations', I return with a collection of 15 new tracks that were produced between the middle of 2024 and early 2025.

This album, as with the last, relies heavily on the sounds of classic synthesizers/drum machines like Mono/Poly, MS-20, SH-101, Jupiter-8, Juno-106, SH-2, JX-8P, System 100, Juno 60, JX-3P, TB-303, Polysix, TR-606, OB-8, TR-808, ARP Odyssey, as well as some contemporary additions to my studio like Oberheim OB-6 Hydrasynth, System 8, MC-707, MicroFreak, Prophet Rev2, Novation Peak, Minilogue, SE-02, and Microkorg.
