It is an epic hero's journey of an album and survival guide to living in these times, at once both intensely personal and communal. Empires Die...Life Evolves features an amazing 63 guest artist from around the world; on over 28 tracks, that while rooted in hip hop, also explore punk, reggae, funk, trap, electronica and industrial styles.

The second iteration of the Kaleidofox All Original Ethereal Dub Project has been released! This mix had its debut in Hawaii, and was showcased in Ableton Live at Synthesis Festival. This day is a gift - Feat. Plaedo

A spontaneous collaboration after a chance meeting at Ecstatic Dance Festival  in Corfu Greece, Producer/Beat-Maker DJ Trotsky and Conscious Hip-Hop artist Zen Tempest created this sonically rich & deep meditation on the beauty and pain of life, death, and transformation.

Dutch improv vocalist Birkit Rietveld's voice weaves and floats throughout the track like incense through air as hearts and minds align, bodies and souls dance, and Cobras and Roses coalesce as one.

Plaedo is a story telling hippie hop philosopher of play whose uniquely fun, funky yet intelligent and inspiring blend of rapping, poetry, comedy, live looping and story telling have proven to edutain (entertain + educate) crowds. With a career built off performing at varied places such as: protests, coffee shops, bars, universities, rave's, poetry slams, and even street corners, his wide ranging lyricism poignantly, intelligently, and humorously covers eco warrior anthems, personal tales from the school of hard knocks, meditations on Buddhist Philosophy, as well as Aliens, sasquatch, and those stories we tell to humble and heal ourselves. Seattle Weekly writer Paula Diaz had this to say about Plaedo: “Plaedo calls himself a 'philosopher of play,' but that doesn't mean the spoken word poet and MC isn't serious about what he spits... His rhymes aren't about the glory, the gangs, and the game. They're unabashedly political, pleading tracks that'll have you swallowing your own words and playing right along."” While Zinester Harldly Flanagan, In Global Punk Zine said this: “Plaedo is a stopless human- rights advocate, virtuoso of silver tongued testimony, an outlaw buddha, a poor righteous teacher of forbidden knowledge and alternative learning streams. Freely planting seeds of wisdom, like the most conscientious and heartfelt, organic gardener. A Johnny Appleseed of ideas.” 
An activist since college, Plaedo co-founded the U of I social justice club. In 2012, Plaedo was an intense participant in the Occupy movement. And since then Plaedo was a co-founder of the Eugene Avant Gardeners, an organization focused on permaculture, food justice, and cultivating a resilient local food and garden resource distribution network. He has also lent his event organizing, and "Cheerleader for the Revolution" skills to a variety of causes. Plaedo also teaches workshops on protest art, body music, and living your personal myth.
