Autumn and Mari Rey met while performing at their grade school talent show in Burbank, California. That summer they started a band, Plain American Girls, so they could play songs by Barbara Keith and The Stone Coyotes. They quickly released their first recordings, "American Child EP", featuring Hammond organ and synth bass over a simple backbeat as their signature sound.🎹🥁❤️
