[PA1] Plains Archaic - V/A Preview

Spite Cathedral takes no hostages with his latest 12” lathe cut EP. In just four tracks, Sound+Matterʼs own Dan Mortazavi has fit everything we love about his solo work. The self-titled track, and EP opener, throws us in a world where industrial techno-infused beats reign. Those are pierced by harsh synth stabs, contributing to an overall sense of electronic hypnosis and paranoia. The brief ambient interludes that follow are showcasing Spite Cathedralʼs usual takes on ambient - the arpeggiated 80s synth worship (Behind the Clouds) and the throbbing noisescapes (This Is Pornography). Dropping the tempo down and through subterranean kick drums and washed down percussion, layered with beautifully dramatic strings and pads, Spite Cathedral makes of Aeon the ultimate closing piece, menacing and deceivingly calming in the same time.

SJT and Aaty are still running street acid / rave project Teknobuskers.
After a long covid isolation, finally we came back on the street of Berlin.
Since last year,Robotron (Drums) and MCRD (Mic.) got a part of this project 
We are now 4 people bringing up own gears on the street and playing them together to generate street acid music.

This acid improvisation was recorded directly to Tascam Portastudio 414 in front of S-Bahn Warschauerstrasse on 21.08.21.

It will be released on cassette tape w/ digi download code by end of October.

Recently I was asked by one of my dearest friends in the underground music community Joel Shanahan, also known as Golden Donna and Auscultation to compile some of my tracks that have appeared on various 12" vinyl releases.  I found this to be somewhat of a self-glorifying yet unique exercise trying to weave my way through 10+ years of releases as a long form DJ mix recorded to cassette.  The tape was soon thereafter mailed to Joel as an edition of  1/1 but here is the mix digitized for all to hear.
