Plain was launched in 1993 by Brian Saxon(Satan's Cheerleaders), Glenn Habas, Nathaniel Bigger and John Ellis.  Singer Dmitra Smith(Voodoo Dolly, Ex's With Benefits, Static People)joined in 1994.  Inspired by vintage tremolo, fuzz guitar and a low-fi aesthetic, Plain recorded most of their songs on a 4-track in a basement apartment in San Francisco's Mission district.  The band released a debut 7" vinyl "Diamond Finish", with two singles in 1994 on Nathanus Records and a 12" vinyl follow up "Queenie" in 1995. In 2012 Dmitra recorded vocals on some of Brian and John's newer tracks.  They are included here along with the old sad hits.
