A mellow fantasy of red lights, slowly pulsating while covered in fog between dark valleys. If the good times were bottled and turned into a three track EP, Euphoria is what wed call it. Direct from the brain frame of Kellerkind, a.k.a Marco Biagini, announcing his upcoming third studio album 'Mindtrip', this EP proves again why he is one of Stil vor Talents stalwart producers. The titular track Euphoria is a hip-swinging toe-tapper from the get-go. Upbeat yet downtempo, this cut is laced with junglesque samples, yet retains a perfectly calibrated atmosphere of dreamlike elation. Stepping it up in tempo, Hypnotique has just the right amount of repetition to draw the listener into a trance-like state, with somniferous synths and pitch-perfect vocals bringing you back to the present moment. Uyezwa rounds off the EP with an exotic flavour: the divine vocals of Zimbabwean Oluhle accompanying Kellerkinds masterful production. The lyrics describe the feeling of a heart in pain, reminding us that to speak is to heal, to let it pass. Distilling the essence of extreme happiness, and tempering it with a heady dose of realism, this EP is a must-listen for those with a penchant for full-spectrum sonic experience.
