We’re back with another installment of A Chance To Dance and we’re delighed to have up-and-coming South African DJ & Producer, Black Chynese (@mandla-luu) joining us on the platform for hour 2 with his wonderfully constructed guest-mix.

A self-taught production talent, Mandla has been on our radar since last year following a release on ThreeRecords and his ‘Fictional Minds’ EP on Closer To Truth, which featured on previous episodes of the show. Already charted by notable names in the scene such as Jimpster and Soul Central, his music has featured on heavyweight shows from the likes of Freerange Records and Radio Electronica. Citing a diverse range of musical influences including Floating Points, Andre Lodemann and Henrik Villard through to Dam Swindle, Crackazat and FOUK, he assures us that he has future projects in the works and a new forthcoming EP so keep your eyes and ears open for that. Of course, his mix does not dissapoint with a potent blend of deep, chunky 4/4 house, soulful vocals and more atmospheric tones that build the energy levels perfectly as the hour progresses.

We occupy hour 1 as usual, bringing you fresh releases from the last 4 weeks or so. Highlights include the dreamy ‘Dromedary Twist’ from Session Victim, the incredible vocals of Kenny Bobien teaming up with Kengo on ‘More Than You’ll Ever Know’ by way of Makin’ Moves Records and garage flavours from Plastik People boss, Marc Cotterell with ‘Is Love A Game’. We’ve also got Carlo with ’Sir Charlie Moon’, part of the ‘Dewax’ release on Aterral which features a small collection only previously heard on vinyl. And speaking of vinyl, there’s some serious jackin 4/4 goodness from Evenn who brings us ‘Time Bomb’, part of GLBDOM’s second 12” release entitled ‘GDWAX002’
