For the 6th installment we have the pleasure to present a special podcast from João Carvalho (Nugs On Board), who steps up with a selection of his never before shared hip hop picks.

1. How and where was the mix recorded?

Had to do a few tricks in here, like ripping some music from vinyl and CD and then I assembled it in ableton, as my mixer is broken.

2. Can you tell us about the idea behind the mix?

For this podcast I decided to do something different than I usually do. Since an early age I was an avid Hip Hop consumer and also collected some stuff, and I never shared my picks.

3. What are your main influences regarding electronic music and Djing in general?

My favourite Dj and Producer ever is Onur Ozer, and I appreciate people who follow this certain type of sound and way of being.

4.Tell us a bit more about Nugs on Boards, why and how did you set up the project?

Nugs On Board was Manata's idea, and I'm really happy that he chose me and Tiago to go with him in this adventure. I've been learning a lot with the project itself, and with these two guys. I think we learn from each other and it feels great.

5. What are you up to next? Projects, ideas...

Get the NUGS004 in my hands, and being happy 🙂
