The Modern Day EP kicks off what is set to be a great year for new duo Want More. Experienced DJ-Producers, the pair have played globally as individuals for over a decade. In November 2013 Want More debuted straight into the top 10 on the Beatport mix charts, and the creation of one of the UK’s hottest new underground House acts in the business was born. Modern Day debuts vocals from Camden musician Nick Grimes, who is lead singer of Gypsy-Indie band The Din. The EP comes with two great remixes, firstly from Off Recording's Frankie Dep and secondly from Planet Acetate label owner Tank Edwards, who picks up on the the Eastern European harmonies and melodies of Nick Grimes to create a stunning new track The EP concludes with a remix of Crosstown Rebel's favourite Him_Self_Her track, whose track Love At Love Before, was originally released by in 2012. The remix see Want More, add their twist, on what is already a classic, with heavy basslines and vocal cuts up now customary in their sets.

It's been over three years since our last collaborative release on Fat! Records. Foamo and Randomer's 'Back In The Game' was a game changer for a languising UK Funky and Bass scene. Since then, the underground focus has shifted firmly from the post-Dubstep sounds London and Bristol to the vibrant, contagious jackin' House of Birmingham, a sound that has been infecting ever corner of the UK scene over the past couple of years and which shows no sign of slowing down.

Two artists we've been keeping close tabs on, who look set to breakthrough the ranks in emphatic fashion this year are De Contrebande and DevelopMENT. In a scene awash with pseudo collaborations, these boys are giving the rest of the pack a serious tap on the shoulder; so sit up and pay attention!
