Rizla Ops joins the NHS orbit with his debut EP release 'Aphid' - An offering of functional, mechanical crawlers that hit disparate BPMs and creep into the territories of many genres of club music that predominantly hail from the shores of the UK. The brief collection highlights a generous dose of maximalism and pairs this with a microcosm of jittering, insectoid syncopation.

Rizla Ops emphasises the magnification of the world that lives in between the cracks of our existence through this collection; he examines the harshness as an inevitable aspect of nature with an scathing and uncompromising lens. The steady march throughout is definite; pacey, systematic rhythms are the focal point of the cohesive selection of tracks that make up this impressive foray into the world of collectivized, paired dance tracks.

To round out an eventful 2024 for Ommaya, we're finishing things off strong with 'Word Made Flesh,' a playful but hard-hitting release from Seattle's own Fleksor - a familiar name to anyone tuned into the Pacific Northwest club scene, with past releases on 320 RIP and Club Designs. The EP balances playful, rubbery grooves with razor-sharp breakbeats, underpinned by a gracious helping of lush synth atmospheres for a nice bit of contrast. Premier single de notre prochain album à paraître chez Human Disease Network, “NRJ du Désespoir”  annonce un virage radical par rapport à nos précédentes sorties, avec des synthétiseurs agressifs, des rythmes complexes et un soin particulier apporté au sound design.
Le morceau évoque l’ambiance racoleuse des émissions tardives de radios grand public où se succédaient canulars téléphoniques, derniers potins de stars et les hits du moment.
Ces références sont samplées et concassées jusqu’à l’abstraction dans un amalgame de sons empruntés à diverses esthétiques : breakbeat, trance, acid, garage et bass - des échos des années 2000 résonnant dans une ère futuriste et plurielle.

Pour le remix : On voulait que ce track soir remixé par Yssue, artiste russe installé à Paris qui nous a littéralement sidéré avec son album How To Survive a Bad Trip sorti l’an dernier chez Global Warming Records. L’accent est mis sur les samples de voix abstraits tirés de jingles radios et entraîne le morceau vers un territoire club avec une inventivité incontrôlable.
