" This mix features the musical selection / mixing of 1/2 of HOT COFFEE ( James ).  Being our second mix for this new project, I wanted to introduce the listener to some of my favorite jams that really set a natural percussive mood which is a staple of all our HOT COFFEE sets.  Originally we had planned out a mix for this, but didn’t feel the vibe.  Placing myself into a more explorative mindset and pressing record, led to a mix that takes you on a journey from a mid tempo acid jazz groove to swinging funky house and beyond.  I hope you enjoy listening as much as i did making it, dancing, sweating, and grooving all over our half finished Sticky Fingers Collective studio, this mix helped reaffirm my love of DJ'ing and motivate us to take things further! Believe it or not but Uncanny Valley looks back on five years of releasing records this summer. There was a bit of discussion on how to celebrate this occasion properly. Instead of just turning into the typical Greatest hits-routine the label heads Albrecht, Carl, Conrad and Philipp decided to look back and forth. So, besides a record with completely new material there will be a record that unleashes four tracks from the vaults of these five years. As you can imagine, there are lots of tracks that are good too but doesn’t fit on the record in question because of the whole record’s atmosphere or just because there’s not enough space on the vinyl.
