https://soundcloud.com/mtornasol usually approaches music in a sui generis way, in its own way and manner, creating an abstract and well-defined entity in its sound movements, which he has managed to plant and cultivate and harvest in more than 10 productions under the name "Markyño".

By the beginning of the 21st century, he established the beginning of his journey within the ethnic sound limits, being part of the first local groups in the city of Puebla of Etno music with the group "Nueve Ojo de Reptil" running in the year 1997; faithful disciple of maestro Jorge Reyes quickly establishes a line between the sacred of Mexican pre-Hispanic music and certain fusions of sound experiments, fusing the ancient and deep sounds of shells and rain sticks, pitchers and drums, flutes and whistles, scrapers and teponaztlis, body percussion, prayers and ritual chants in programming with reproduction media such as discman, minidisc audio recorders, air microphones, loudspeakers with urban sequences.

Now this new adventure took on a dimension of exploration to the experimental, with that sound axis he would form a new project known as "Laboratorio Tornasol", celebrating the rich Puebla music scene.

Highly influenced by experimentation and electronics, this project would allow him to prolong the sound passages, fusing the ancestral with the electronic scene in Mexico, providing identity to its 100% Mexican sound, the auditory details of pieces of sound tracks from Mexica movies, audio conversations from politicians and more, as well as Marco Antonio's own improvisations in this project would stamp a unique, different or perhaps unpolluted sound.  The next step would be to continue with the Etno essence but Microfusing electronic elements to his productions, adding vocals, recycled instrumental shades as well as brushstrokes that continued to echo their first projects.

His experimentation would lead him to develop his own project, which would allow him to define his own sound footprint, thus giving birth to the pseudonym "Markyño" by which he is also known today for his weekly contributions on 105.9 Puebla FM. (Radio Huarache) with already 11 years on the air; the conviction for fusions, art, pre-Hispanic music and electronics would lead to the more than 10 albums, reaching out to the new generations of Mexican and South American producers of the electronic scene and their fusion with ancestral sounds.

Among his presentations in 2020, he participated in the tribute to Jorge Reyes broadcast by Ricardo Bravo (Etno Mx) together with the most important groups of the Etno Mexican scene, thus forging a name, a style and the respect of the scene in the last two decades.

Self labelled a Multimodal Creative, Musical Curator and chemist of Pre-Columbian Sounds & Multimodal Electronics. To this day he collaborates at https://babylonradio.com with a weekly session of "Etnoelectronica" that has been broadcast from Dublin every Wednesday for more than a year.
