Ziger lands back on ICONYC this week with a brand-new single entitled 'Feel the Bass'. The Greek producer continues to be one of the top tier progressive house artists with continued support from Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, along with releases on Eleatics, Beatfreak, Sudbeat and his own Eat My Hat imprint. 

'Feel The Bass' finds Ziger at his creative best with a driving, hypnotic production that's nicely dialed in or the dance floor. Punchy beats and a full, driving groove anchor the piece, as vibrant tones and spacey effects adorn the framework. The main break hits suddenly and its astral charm quickly saturates your pleasure centers, before melting down to a cavernous reservoir as the beats drop for a storming finale. 

The first remix of 'Feel the Bass' comes courtesy of LA based producer Anakim who returns to the label with a deep melodic remix here. The US artist reshapes the original elements into something deeper and more melodic spacious sounding. The wonk factor on the low end is quite high and monumentally groovy as well, nicely playing off the rolling rhythmic qualities as dulcet hooks and gentle harmonics drift in and out of the framework. The main break shifts the narrative into more emotive territory but the dance floor sensibility remains, with muted beats and percussive clusters building towards a tasteful drop. Superb rework from Anakim. 

The third and final interpretation comes from label debutants Propellar. The Berlin based duo follow excellent releases on MUKKE, Katz & Kauz and Family Piknik with a brilliant interpretation here. Deep, compelling and acutely mysterious, it's deep melodic qualities and richly textured groove make for a lovely first act. As atmospheres evolve, distinctive stabs and vocal edits steal the air, before a one-minute break takes you further into a haze of psychedelic audio, perfectly setting up a groovy finale. A brilliant remix from Propellar that's likely destined for the sets of the big boy brigade. Highly recommended.

"Daniel Pinho, the American artist behind our most popular beatport track ever, is back on Chrom! The story of Daniel Pinho on Chrom reads like a true fairy tale. At the end of last year our label manager, Pedro Mercado, participated as jury member in an online demo session called "Open Door Sessions," run by Neon Owl, an American music media & lifestyle brand that connects artists and fans to help charities around the world.

We directly signed one demo that really stood out: "Thunderstorm on the Catwalk," produced by Daniel Pinho. The track was released on one of our Chromologic Samplers in the beginning of this year and so Daniel made his official beatport debut. Moreover, his track skyrocketed in the Beatport Charts for weeks, so now it's time for the next logical step: his own Chrom EP, "Among the Dunes."

The "Among the Dunes" EP is consistent with Daniel's nature-inspired aesthetic, featuring melodies placed in expansive soundscapes reminiscent of the arid Southern California region. This collection consists of 3 originals and a remix of the 3rd track "Until The End" by our label manager Pedro Mercado himself, his first remix for Chrom this year!" (Chrom Recordings)

Jickow's recent run of form continues with a dark and driving new EP on BluFin Records.
This stylish two tracker kicks off with Gökotta, a deep rolling techno cut that comes live with some epic synth work. The bright chords flash over the rooted drums then fall away to reveal a spine tingling female vocal. It's a dramatic cut that will make for plenty of memorable moments. Ubuntu then sets off on another spritely groove with theatrical pads and thunderous claps. It's one to get hands in the air with its subtle trance vibes.

These are two more well designed and fresh cuts from Jickow.
