Craig Pruess is an American composer, musician, arranger and gold & platinum record producer. His career has covered diverse areas including: record production for international stars such as Anu Malik, Sir Cliff Richard, Sheila Walsh (nominated for a Grammy Award in 1983); musical arrangements for Massive Attack, Def Leppard, Bond; feature film soundtrack music (Pride & Prejudice, Bend It Like Beckham, It's a Wonderful Afterlife,); world music producing, performing (sitar, keyboards and African percussion) and arranging for international acts such as Massive Attack, Katie Melua, Manic Street Preachers and Def Leppard; television music ("Peak Practice", Sue Lawley Show) and also arranging, sitar and sound design work (for such well known composers as Danny Elfman, Gabriel Yared, Patrick Doyle, Carl Davis, John Altman); television and film advertising/corporate music (over 300 commercials to date); lecturing and teaching; concert performing (solo and with his own ensembles but also with Mike Oldfield for the world premiere of "Tubular Bells II", September 1992, at the Edinburgh Castle); sound engineering, synthesizer and computer music programming, sound design and music technology innovations.

The track itself 'Lalitha Ashtotram' remixed by Audio Junkies & Sahar Z, is a mantra, oozing of class, while it sophisticatedly meanders around your mind, locking you in to its magical spell, while remaining a serious dance floor moment throughout. Tight production gels this masterpiece wonderfully as is leaves you breathless and in awe of its power.

Belgrade based producer Tebra has been making a lot of noise recently with his ethnic and progressive style, delivering tunes to Serbian label Ritual Records. He joins Art Vibes with two mystical originals, ‘Promena’ and ‘Krug’.
‘Promena’ shows a subtle touch of orientalism through high pitched voices, delicate hand-played strings and a lead violin that ties up remarkably well with the underlying heavy bass and hopping percussions.
‘Krug’ has a trancy side given by a few melodic synth lines and grooves but manages to retain what defines Tebra’s sound signature: traditional acoustic instruments, refined & elegant percussions carefully sent to the right reverb room, and haunting but catchy vocals.

On the other hand, Tunisian producer Haze-M and Aix-En-Provence based artist Rafael Cerato collaborated to give a different interpretation to ‘Krug’. They joined forces and crafted a groovy & syncopated rework creating a whole new reading to the original piece.

Estray, who’s been living a nomadic lifestyle as a DJ and producer, immursed himself into the cultures that he came across while on the road and crafted a n elegant & organic remix of Promena.

Last but not least, the EP is completed with another rework of Promena produced by AsK & Hot Oasis, making the most out of the rhythmic elements of the original, even layering some new grooves for a track ready to be grooved on!

All tracks of this eclectic EP are dance-floor ready and will make a difference either if played slow in a downtempo ethnic set or heavier ones.

Dystopian Desert is the first studio album from Lisbon's very own DJ and producer Madd Rod, released on 31 July 2020 by his imprint Inner Shah Recordings. Part a tribute to his roots, part a promise for the future: the album is the product of years of growth and appears as a solid approach to what some could call 'Desert House'.

After years developing his sound, the artist sets a statement in this adventure as a storyteller, exploring different melodies in the Arabic scale in a gamut of ambient and club-ready tracks inspired by arid landscapes. Rod expertly makes use of live guitar jams recorded by Azul (Duarte Igreja) to add a real element to the otherwise fully electronic compositions, adding a twist to the Melodic House and Techno the artist had released previously.

To add to the uniqueness of the 12-track album, the artist challenged the talented Rita Morais to oil paint her vision of the album on a square canvas that ended up as the artwork to this eclectic, mystic and exotic sound experience.
