If Felix the Housecat and Mr Fingers had a child and that child produced House Music, this is what his music would sound like

Club 1980 is a head nod to those heady formative days of 1980s house music. Although the temptation to make a contemporary style track with lots happening was great, Kariuki has managed to keep to the relatively simple style of the era, while cautiously and stealthily introducing modern stylistics to both tracks.
Paradise is built upon strong foundations with a solid and hefty kick enveloped inside a warm and simple bass. The simple 3 note riff & pad sound which is an obvious tribute to one of the greatest house tracks of all time runs through the track like a river ebbing and flowing and moving the track beautifully along, topped off by the male vocals which were part and parcel of the time.
Music Box is equally built with deep roots to support this heavy track. The melodic bass gives the track a deceptive groove alongside the simple stylistic layers of hats, vocals and pads which swoop in and out to propel the track towards its darker stripped back more menacing second half of the track where the simple yet complex journey comes together beautifully

Julien Vertigo, DJ/Producteur de la région nyonnaise, est un passionné de musiques électroniques depuis de longues années. Son dévouement et son amour pour la musique l’ont amené à faire un grand pas en 2018, lorsqu’il a décidé de se consacrer pleinement sur la production de ses propres morceaux sous un style qu’on nomme « Melodic Techno » dans le milieu. L'idée derrière son projet est de plonger son audience dans une expérience auditive éclectique fondée par des mélodies expérimentales, rythmes techno et des sons quelques peu inattendus donnant un sentiment plus naturel à ses morceaux. Julien a reçu le soutien de Tiësto via son célèbre Club Life Podcast en 2020 et plus récemment, ce n’est autre qu'Eli & Fur, Øostil ou encore Kevin de Vries pour n'en nommer que quelques-uns qui l’ont également soutenu. Son voyage musical évolue constamment grâce aux nombreux défis qu’il se fixe, ceci lui permettant sans cesse de repousser ses limites et d’alimenter sa passion pour la musique.

With great pleasure, we welcome the well-known Lithuanian DJ and producer Ten Walls on Wout Records. He combined four consistently melodic tracks to form this sound-shaping EP. The leading figure of the main title "Position" is an unstoppable metamorphosis, even in the interlude the artist pushes his composition. The track consists of an incredible number of elements, but there is a defined place for each of them. In "ARP" Ten Walls shows his ear for erratic harmonies. The frequent key changes give the track a lot of eye-opening moments. The bassline in "MZ (Introduction)" guides us through the world of euclidean rhythms. Its bassy pulse-synth is wrapped into soft pads and classic drum machine sounds. The closure comes with "Old P (Outro)", a soulful walkthrough piano chords, plucked soundscapes, and yet powerful drums. We have nothing more to say than enjoy this wonderful EP.

As a new artist to welcome to the Grey Bar Hotel roster, baez makes his debut on the Berlin label with his EP ‘Walking The Line Of Lunacy’. The Miami-based DJ and producer is a well-known face in the genres of melodic & organic house, proving his talents by releasing music  in some of the industry's finest labels such as Magician On Duty andNie Wieder Schlafen, just to name a few. As if that wasn’t enough, baez also manages his own imprint Minds Alike Records - showcasing top class producers from around the world. His newest EP incorporates his trademark sound while taking the listener on a melodic journey with the title track ‘Walking The Lines Of Lunacy’. The second single “Mango” is a deep and timeless groove that will surely keep bodies moving on the dance floor.. .

Talking about label owners, we can proudly introduce the remixer Arteforma. Also known under his alias Thomas A.S., Arteforma focuses on melodic and deeper productions. With prior releases on Kindisch or Seven Villas Music, to name just a few, the Italian doesn’t miss out on opportunities to prove his musical diversity. His label Cervidae Recordings, founded in 2015, continues to deliver the finest underground minimal & house tunes up to this day. His remix combines analogue percussion with deep and thorough soundscapes.

Swann Decamme, a name that needs little to no introduction. The French continues to deliver countless, outstanding creations on labels such as Earthly Delights, Minds Alike, Janowitz Records, Time Has Changed and many more. The French producer and DJ showcases darker productions in one of his own projects - Curiosity Music, his imprint based in Paris. His interpretation of ‘Walking The Lines Of Lunacy’ will ensure every listener knows, what so-called groove is referred to. 

Pedro Sanmartin, the Barcelona-born artist, finally joins the Grey Bar Hotel crew, rounding off the release. With prior releases on Seven Villas Music or Everything Will Be OK - he is a talent not to be missed. His interpretation is a strong addition to the rest, combining African percussion with melodic interludes and dreamy pads to dive into Pedro’s very own world of sound.
