Conrad Van Orton debuts on Attic Music for the 15th installment of label. 'Hypersomnia' is a collection of haunting techno tracks that sit on the darker side of the genre's spectrum without loosing it's dance floor appeal. 
The 4 track spanning record opens up with the title track ''Hypersomnia'' though techno sounds that revolve around a train-like whistle that repeats throughout the track's poignantbuild. ''Green Eyes'' is an intrusive piece of work that closes down the A-side with it's intense synth works.
On the B side we find ''Iteration''. This growling piece of music has an almost live sounding quality to it. ''Ending Point'' is the toughest piece of work of the record which revolves around a fierce bass sound and a potent drum work.

Hailing from Dublin, Ireland, he made a name for himself playing on a regular basis in his home city for the last couple of years as a resident of the Subject.Dublin parties, District 8 and more.

After hearing his track ‘Oiche’ on the Fiedeltwo Various Artists last year and getting to know each other during a long party in a dark place, it was just a a matter of time to get him on board. Robert crafted a super effective, hypnotic and spacey four-tracker E.P. called ‘Final Approach’. All the necessary ingredients are perfectly mixed together to make you dance: clean kicks, polished basslines, incisive hi-hats, killer snares, percussive toms, dreamy pads and more. Each track produces an irresistible tension that will make your body move!

Junodownload Review:  Mode_1 is best known for his DJ sets at the recently shuttered District 8 club in Dublin. He now takes the expertise that he built up spinning in that venue and applies it to his dance floor productions. "Shifted" kick starts the release in high-paced mode with an eerie rhythm track swooping in to the sound of furious claps. "Satellites" is more reserved but similar in mood, as resonating, tonal bleeps unfold over staccato drums. On "Final Approach", he ups the intensity levels again, with a pounding kick underpinning bleak tones, while closing out this debut EP is the slightly deeper but still forceful tech-house of "Lasting Thought".

Mateo Hurtado makes his debut on Subsist Records with The Tyranny Of Light, an album in which the Swiss producer mixes dark and spatial sounds with different rhythmic structures.

Mateo Hurtado is a composer who develops his works from modular Synth obtaining a wrap-around finish. As a result of a melodic complexity, this release maintains an introductory beginning with slow and marked rhythms. An evolution that gradually increases the tension without leaving behind the initial modular enveloping melodies.
