The mist of his breath hinders his vision. The blood from his severed torso is the only fragment of colour in this bleak earthly abyss as it speckles the snow he treads behind him. The cold smothers his wounds, embracing them with a figurative blanket, halting the brain from its natural grievance. His walk wavers from anything straight, despite his current impurities. It’s his hurling twists and turns out of fear, possibly the thought of it coming back is the real cripple.

The Moon projects only a portion of its shadow on the Sun. While the densest shadow of the Moon, the umbra, does not reach the Earth, only the partial shadow, the penumbra, is projected onto the Earth. During this event, a gust of wind approaches, hiding within it a mysterious and palpable energy. This natural phenomenon serves as the inspiration to launch the first chapter of the Thama Series titled "Eclipse of Existence."

The Nature Microdosing EP by Ariet @michalgutkowski explores the intersection of nature, psychedelics, and dance gatherings, uncovering their healing potential. These tracks were crafted and refined during the festival season, a time of personal therapy, healing, and shared experiences on the dancefloor.

The title track, Nature Microdosing, invites the listener into a mystical atmosphere, a continuous flow of events that evolve through modulations and thematic variations. This piece sets the tone for the journey, blending subtlety with an entrancing energy.

The ALPI remix accelerates the pace, transforming Nature Microdosing into a peak-time track. With punchy drums, ALPI’s signature sound design, and a dancefloor-oriented arrangement, it channels raw energy and movement.

Acid Healing ventures deeper, guiding the dancer through dark and complex territories of the psyche. It’s a necessary descent—an opportunity to confront inner truths, embrace lessons, and emerge stronger.

Tribal Message offers a moment of respite. Its rhythmic drums and atmospheric layers encourage introspection, inviting listeners to explore their inner depths. 

Finally, the journey concludes with the quintessential Ariet end-of-set track called It’s Sacred. Here, the energy resolves into a sense of relief and fulfillment. The closing moments return us to the source – the sacred within – celebrating our shared humanity, compassion, and creative essence.

Ariet – Nature Microdosing EP Preview [Psylocybina 06]

The Option Paralysis series reflects my personal journey of experimenting with my production process by deliberately limiting the tools I have at hand. In today's landscape overflowing with infinite choices and cutting-edge digital equipment, it’s all too easy to drown in the vast ocean of possibilities. This EP is a product of my decision to embrace certain constraints, delve deep into the wealth of creativity within those boundaries and aim to overcome the paralysis.

Vol.1 kicks off with "When in Doubt", my attempt at crafting an ever-evolving atmospheric soundscape. It's a piece inspired by nature's frequencies, blended with a low-slung, chuggy bass. "Free Fall" is my ode to the outdoors - built around pads from field recordings, adorned with synthetic melodies and drums tinted with a hint of noise. Drawing from languages from my native roots, 'Salahalu' - the Telugu term for 'suggestion' - is more conducive to the dance floor, with bubbling tension, trancy leads and hypnotic synth patterns. 'Thamaara', which means 'lotus' in Malayalam, concludes the EP, weaving together psychedelic textures and grounding rhythms.

Hydrophobic Visions (2019)

Mountain Explosion Device returns with a vengeance. Label boss, Swedish-Sri Lankan artist Kalawila explores the abyss with “Lönnmördare fick betalt i frimärken”, a slow building, lizard-like track, perfect for big, dark rooms. With “Dadaab”, the soundscape transforms into an 8 minute, suggestive breakbeat dystopia full of ancient creatures and absent shopping mall announcements. Russian techno wizard Yuka caps things off with vast sheets of sound, her ever growing palette emphasizing the original’s quest into a rhythmic melting plant, steel dripping from every wall.
