Alexander Johansson & Mattias Fridell are two Swedish artists actively involved in the Techno and House scene since the late '90s, with an impressive amount of records released under their names.

Next up, they combine forces for the second EP on Recorded Things. Simhall 101 EP is a stunning mix of chaos and tension, with precise layered rhythms alongside hypnotic synth lines and beautiful melodies, whooshing arps surrounded by an excellent percussion workout. SYXT has its roots in Berlin with owners Ketch and MZR at the helm. Launched in 2018 there have been contributions from artists like Tom Hades, Vegim, Mary Velo and XHEI.

The latest release is their third compilation release made of sixteen original tracks and that welcomes producers like Juan Trujillo, Hitam, MZR, Müzmin, Shkedul and many others showcasing a wide variety of eclectic techno styles in one place.

Sweden’s Samuel L Session is known as a veteran in the scene, releasing music from 1996 and running numerous label projects over the years such as SLS, Cycle and Klap Klap as well as his music landing on illustrious imprints such as Slam’s Soma, Adam Beyer’s Drumcode, or ARTS.

For this DT:Premiere we selected his track “Suspended Animation” that is a prime example of less is more. Hypnotic and subtle, the groove flows effortlessly with suspense and knob-twiddling tweaks to keep you attentive to the smallest changes, completed with captivating claps dripping in atmospherical tension to top off a truly enchanting treasure.
