Hemka is a Paris-based techno producer and DJ known for her hypnotic, high-energy sound.

Her fast-paced, psychedelic style marked by driving rhythms and immersive vocal textures has found a home on respected labels like Mutual Rytm, Token, Rekids, BPitch, and Clergy to name a few.

She recently released a new 12” EP called “Introspection” on Mutual Rytm, further cementing her distinct sonic identity. 

In this set, she chose to play timeless records while blending in fresh new tracks, a nod to the genre’s past and future !

This episode continues VARIA’s mission: championing considered electronic expression and lasting artistry.

Elisa Batti is an Italian-born multidisciplinary artist, DJ, producer, sound designer, and co‑founder of the Amsterdam-based techno label Immaterial.Archives. Based in Amsterdam and a resident of the Ypnotika collective, her creative practice spans electronic music, contemporary art, performance, and technology. Elisa’s activity branches across a wide spectrum of projects, all unified by one continuous thread: a deep commitment to electronic music. Her work often explores the boundaries of contemporary sound, blending it with other disciplines to create immersive, multidimensional experiences. Her sound design and tech-driven compositions have been featured at renowned venues and festivals worldwide, including Palais de Tokyo (Paris), Taiwan National Theater, Ballet National de Marseille, Kinetica Museum (London), Elbphilharmonie (Hamburg), ZKM (Karlsruhe), and Fusion Festival, among others. Elisa Batti has released her music on various electronic and techno labels such as Semantica,Qilla Records, Balans Records, NYXII, Diffuse Reality, Observant, and others.  As a DJ, Elisa Batti delivers sets that range from hypnotic and deep techno to driving, high-energy soundscapes. Whether performing live or curating mixes, she guides listeners through enchanting sonic journeys, infusing every set with her distinct artistic identity and emotional depth. For Elisa, music is art, music is culture, and this is at the foundation of her love for techno.

We are super excited to present the 142nd episode from @aumrecordings co-founder TENO!

TENO is a DJ and producer currently based in Osaka, who has been making a strong impact on the techno scene in recent years through both his DJ sets and productions. His activities now extend not only throughout Japan but also across Europe, China, and other parts of Asia.

On the international podcast circuit, he was featured as the first artist in the new FOWRE series on Eerste Communie, curated by Marrøn, one of the world’s leading DJs based in the Netherlands. He has also contributed mixes to labels such as Polygonia’s IO Records, Nebuleus, Reverse, Tensione Collective, and CONCEPTUAL VIOLENCE.

As a producer, TENO continues to release music on labels around the globe. Through his own techno label Aum Recordings, he released an EP featuring a remix by Munich-based artist Polygonia. Additionally, he collaborated with world-renowned DJ Wata Igarashi, who contributed a remix for TENO’s first vinyl EP, DONT CRY OVER SPILLED MILK.

In February 2025, TENO launched a second label, Monos, with the aim of expressing his unique artistic identity. The label has already released the Violet EP and Primrose EP, with the Yuugao EP set to follow soon.

Duplicity 142 | TENO

Sigvard is a techno artist and producer from Belgium. Grown from a project from artist Tom Hades, Sigvard has returned to his stripped down arrangements and use of limited instruments in the studio. This has led to a more focused and direct sound that still retains the power and emotion of his earlier work.
Sigvard's music is influenced by a wide range of artists, from early pioneers like Kraftwerk and Afrika Bambaataa to more contemporary acts like Underworld and Laurent Garnier. This diverse range of influences can be heard in his music, which often blends elements of different styles together to create something unique.

The term “prodigy” gets tossed around a lot, and in most cases it’s a meaningless descriptor, but with Franco there’s no doubt in my mind it not only applies but underestimates his talents. 

As a producer in his early twenties, his resume already puts guys twice his age to shame. Having dropped masterpieces on Bas Mooy’s MORD Records, ØM’s WARM-UP label, a double vinyl on the incredible Nachtstrom Schallplatten (where I had the honor to contribute the cover art), Illegal Alien Records, [R]3volution Records, Prophet Recordings, a collaborative LP with the underground icon Kolpos, and on and on and on. There’s no one who has accumulated the level of respect and appreciation from the best of the best in such a short time and at such a young age. 

Today’s set is a journey through dark, hypnotic textures and assertive rhythms that only Franco can deliver. To have such a sophisticated, defined artistic signature so early in his career is mind boggling and I’m here to support, witness, and cheer my brother every step of the way. 

This is techno with no compromise, no filler, no “crowd favorites.” If you’re with it, welcome to the tribe. If not, we don’t give a….
