Propelling off a tightly locked 90s inspired breakbeat before merging with bass walls and alarming energies, it's a track that maintains its aggressive prowess throughout standing as an ideal dark room number.

Australian label Different Intel continue on their recent run of form with the imprints first vinyl release arriving via Henry Greenleaf’s ‘Keepsake’ EP.

A reflective piece on creative exploration and personal growth, that was written while navigating post-university unemployment. The release samples records and cassettes to weave a unique tapestry of sound, each track stretching anticipations with an eclectic blend of strange sound effects, filter sweeps, and other alterations, showcasing a diverse palette of sound and meticulous attention to detail. Embodying the spirit of fearless innovation, listeners are invited on an immersive pursuit of creativity and connection. 

Our featured premiere, ‘Get The Hell Out’, is a swirling bass runner brimming with enticing effects and trinkets over a forceful UK funky foundation. Everything falls together seamlessly here, but there is a palpable relentlessness to the tracks’ percussive elements that you cannot ignore.

Roo Honeychild's City Imp returns for the label's second instalment with Dublin stalwart Ozwald's Back Of The Bus EP.

Over three years in the making, Ozwald takes on Jersey Club, Juke and Jungle, reconfiguring them with his maverick style, whilst partnering up the likes of USHMUSH to face some old foes along the way. This is Irish Club Music in peak form, delivered by its most distinguished and BASS addled purveyors

'Aoife's Neck' is a bona fide classic of Dublin's underground. It appeared originally as a Soundcloud edit in 2018 and has circulated through local DJs collections ever since. This floor burner is built around a maniacally chopped sample of Aoife McGregor's famous 'NECK' related Whastapp voice message. City Imp doctrinal history upholds the original Aoife's Neck as ground zero for Dub[lin] Club [Music] as a genre, the earliest fully successful attempt to subsume the aesthetic spirit of Jersey Club to a uniquely Irish memetic idiom. The 2024 update stays faithful to the original while innovating in the realm of percussion. The extra sauce in this department and extension of the 4x4 rhythms delivers a DJ tool that is equal parts sludgey and frenetic, sure to freak out even the most experienced of dancers.

Our featured premiere comes from Capon, with the menacing 'Ancient Energy' which surges off a pacing breaks foundation. Ridging kicks and eastern backgrounds forge this one into a real pace setter. One of our favourites from the whole compilation we must admit.

PREMIERE: Capon - Ancient Energy (Ethos Records)

Galway's Ar Ais Arís are back with their first feature EP after April's standout debut compilation, and it's Dublin's Plus One who returns with a full deck of his own supply on Volume 2.

After claiming perhaps the standout number on the imprint's first release with the Four Tet favourite 'Bonk', Plus One shares 5 fresh tracks of enigmatic bass facing electronica. Swivelling through peaks and valleys of club configured vocal chops and euphoric melodic breakdowns, the Dubliner strikes a perfect balance between pump and feeling across elements of two-step, baile-funk and bass. 

Our featured premiere of 'Zero Chance' runs along the 100 zone across a fizzy dancehall foundation, rumbling further with its potent bassline amidst tripped out vocals and cascading percussion.

Asa Nisi Masa's warming 'Drunk With All My Friends' opens up the many worlds of the Dublin act's sound. Heel cutting guitar distortion, frosted key melodies, and calming vocals merge with an underlying electronic grunge on this ode to friends made along the way. 

Another slight veer away from the club coated stuff we have come to be obsessed with by the artist, but this sound direction has us equally as excited. 

The track comes accompanied with a video of memoirs to nights gone by, directed by the talented Cian Donohue.

London-based electronic music producers DrumPhill and An Avrin have come together for a hard-hitting new EP that epitomises the UK Bass sound. Set to release on October 4th, 2024, this four-track EP is a masterclass in sound design and bass-driven energy, showcasing the duo’s technical prowess and deep understanding of the UK underground music scene.

Released on Brick Sweat Records, an independent label rooted in working-class rave culture, this EP also marks a significant milestone for the label - its 3rd anniversary. From humble
beginnings to establishing itself as a rising player amongst the smaller UK electronic labels, Brick Sweat Records continues to champion home-grown talent and sounds.

Our featured premiere 'Tormenta' is a seductive deconstructed club entry, alluring with the sultry vocals of the duo's Framboise and moving with the body rhythmic reggaeton leaning beats of other half Guiv. Boyfrens is the club-pop project of Dublin-based electronic artist Jack Hevey. The project’s next release marks a collaboration with Limerick-born, Manchester-based producer Jack Ward on a remix of 2024’s ‘The Layby’.

Ward, a dance-pop aplomb, manages to retain the bubbly sentiment of the track, platforming the vocals and sparkly synths of the original, whilst beefing up the percussion and adding a dynamic re-worked bassline. Tension builds and releases as the track skips along, unfolding into an evocative 4-on-the-floor groove.

Remixed for the dancefloor, Ward’s cut retains all the feeling and longing of the original whilst pushing the production and energy to new soaring heights, manifesting as a perfect evolution of the song. The euphoric charm present in the remix is indicative of Ward’s distinct production pallette.

Dublin label inHabit Recordings continue on their renewed rampage into 2025 with Microcosm's dark and delirious 'Electric Dreams' EP.

Microcosm's high octane blend of murky melodies and horse power breaks act as a constant hat tip to the early days of the genre whilst maintaining a slick, futuristic gleam throughout. 'Electric Dreams' and the 3 tracks within wouldn't be out of place in a mix today nor the 90s.

'Yoyo' epitomises this with its thunderous breaks, eerie synth work, and jump up vocals forging to make a weighty peak time roller.

Ika Sile is a French DJ and producer who developed his love for electronic music while living in Dublin, Ireland. In 2020, he moved to Paris and became part of the local music scene.

His music has been released on well-known labels like Shall Not Fade, Life in Patterns, Obscuur Records, and Agora. In May 2024, he dropped his sixth EP, World of Thoughts, on Mycelium Syndicate. Ika has played at major venues and festivals such as Astropolis, Macadam, Glazart, and Rinse FM, and worked with artists like DJ Physical, Lucinee, and Dissolver on a remix. Keep an eye on him in 2025!

Ika produced this EP using Ableton Live and Roland plug-ins, capturing the vibe of classic hardware while enjoying the flexibility of modern day digital production. The result is four tracks that weave their way through the realm of techno.

Berlin-based producer and audiovisual artist Max Dahlhaus returns to Taiwanese imprint Over My Body two years after his last with their album 'ONEIRIC'.

A system of sound built from fragmented memories, shifting rhythms, and digital distortions. ONEIRIC exists in the space between the organic and the synthetic, between structure and collapse. Here, cello strings vibrate in artificial landscapes, field recordings blur into machine pulses, and AI-generated voices attempt—futilely—to replicate human emotion. It’s a record untethered from genre, operating instead as a dream-state where time signatures fracture, grooves morph, and textures breathe.

The title ONEIRIC—meaning “relating to dreams”—perfectly encapsulates the LP’s unstable logic. Like a lucid dream, the music moves with both intention and unpredictability. Each track is its own self-contained world, but together they form an evolving structure that reprograms itself as it plays. Max Dahlhaus builds this sonic architecture through an array of techniques: recording cello and breaking glass, capturing field sounds, feeding AI-generated elements into Ableton, and letting the collision of these methods shape the outcome.
