Australian label Different Intel continue on their recent run of form with the imprints first vinyl release arriving via Henry Greenleaf’s ‘Keepsake’ EP.

Roo Honeychild's City Imp returns for the label's second instalment with Dublin stalwart Ozwald's Back Of The Bus EP.

Over three years in the making, Ozwald takes on Jersey Club, Juke and Jungle, reconfiguring them with his maverick style, whilst partnering up the likes of USHMUSH to face some old foes along the way. This is Irish Club Music in peak form, delivered by its most distinguished and BASS addled purveyors

'Aoife's Neck' is a bona fide classic of Dublin's underground. It appeared originally as a Soundcloud edit in 2018 and has circulated through local DJs collections ever since. This floor burner is built around a maniacally chopped sample of Aoife McGregor's famous 'NECK' related Whastapp voice message. City Imp doctrinal history upholds the original Aoife's Neck as ground zero for Dub[lin] Club [Music] as a genre, the earliest fully successful attempt to subsume the aesthetic spirit of Jersey Club to a uniquely Irish memetic idiom. The 2024 update stays faithful to the original while innovating in the realm of percussion. The extra sauce in this department and extension of the 4x4 rhythms delivers a DJ tool that is equal parts sludgey and frenetic, sure to freak out even the most experienced of dancers.

London imprint Vief return with another compilation raising funds for Palestine with the ‘Madhoun’ V/A, featuring tracks from INGI, Mullholland, and our featured premiere from Product Toss.

In May, longtime Vief collaborator halle o’malley got in touch with an idea. She’d come across the Instagram of a 17-year old Palestinian musician called Samih, whose life has been torn apart as a result of Israel's recent onslaught on the Gaza strip. Their home destroyed, Samih and his family were forced to feel to a refugee camp in Rafah. During their displacement, Samih has gone viral posting videos of himself singing and playing a borrowed oud.
 
Having spoken to Samih, Halle planned to sample one of these videos and donate the proceeds from the sales of the track to a gofundme set up for Samih’s family. She approached the label with the idea of turning this into a compilation akin to previous one’s the label’s put out - so as to maximise the amount of money raised.
 
Madhoun now stands as a compilation containing four productions sampling Samih, an interlude, and nine other dance tracks generously donated by producers from across the world.

Ika Sile is a French DJ and producer who developed his love for electronic music while living in Dublin, Ireland. In 2020, he moved to Paris and became part of the local music scene.

His music has been released on well-known labels like Shall Not Fade, Life in Patterns, Obscuur Records, and Agora. In May 2024, he dropped his sixth EP, World of Thoughts, on Mycelium Syndicate. Ika has played at major venues and festivals such as Astropolis, Macadam, Glazart, and Rinse FM, and worked with artists like DJ Physical, Lucinee, and Dissolver on a remix. Keep an eye on him in 2025!

Ika produced this EP using Ableton Live and Roland plug-ins, capturing the vibe of classic hardware while enjoying the flexibility of modern day digital production. The result is four tracks that weave their way through the realm of techno.

Dublin’s inHabit Recordings continue to celebrate their 7th year in operation with another single from their forthcoming birthday compilation. 

This featured premiere comes from Waveform Kru NYC (WKNYC), the creative alias of Brian Mooney—a multimedia artist, DJ, producer, and professor from New York City. Brian created WKNYC in 2023 as an experimental project dedicated to the sounds of jungle, rave, and hardcore. Collaborators include DJs, producers, MCs, and scholars from across different fields. WKNYC explores the sounds of the post-rave generation and its relationship to the past.

His sound, defined by deep sub-bass, sharp textures and dark atmospheres, showcases a mastery of syncopation and hypnotic rhythms. With contemporaries like Henry Greenleaf, Sub Basics and Javano,
along with support from influential figures such as Lamont or Yak, Lo Chi is an artist
deserving greater recognition in the current electronic music landscape.

In Lo Chi’s words, “this EP concludes some moments within my continued practice in
production; Some inspired by trips to Berlin’s club scene, some galvanised by mid winter days inside with cyclical rhythm. Each track feels to be a principal example of its palette, extended over 6 years. Love to Henry, Ed, Dean, Benji and Tony for their continued faith.

For the second year in a row, Vief Records is raising funds for Palestine Solidarity Campaign. Voted for by those involved in the project, Palestine Solidarity Campaign is a community of people working together for peace, equality, and justice. Together, they are the biggest organisation in the UK dedicated to securing Palestinian human rights.

Their crucial work involves placing pressure on the British Government, which despite a change in ruling party last year, has made no material effort to end its complicity in Israel’s genocide. We still sell arms to Israel, both directly and indirectly, whilst also supporting its military with intelligence and training - the latter shockingly taking place on British shores.

Let’s be clear. Any minor concessions, like recognising the State of Palestine earlier in September, would not have taken place without the tireless efforts of groups like Palestine Solidarity Campaign. And as public opinion against Israel and its actions continues to grow, continued campaigning remains vitally important.

Vief’s compilation comprises 15 tracks from artists based across five continents, containing the very best the world of leftfield techno has to offer.
