It also welcomes 2CHNS, nCamargo, and Rodney Rolls to the roster, while CPH and Insideman make a return. Every track has been carefully curated with love, chosen because it deserves to be heard.

Onward Music was founded with a mission to provide a platform for high-quality music that was being unfairly overlooked—an ethos that remains at the heart of the label. Independent Drum & Bass labels continue to play a crucial role in the scene, often giving artists the space to refine their craft before moving on to larger platforms. Melbourne’s Plasma Audio returns with a fifth single. Plasma has been cutting a a dark and intense path through the drum and bass world with it’s releases so far and this latest addition is no exception. Cursa and Gamma follow in the footsteps of label mates Icicle, Sabre, Fre4knc, Survey, MC Gusto and take up the reigns effortlessly. 

Cursa steps up on the A side with Egg Cup. An atmospheric cloud of sound design sets the scene and when the fog clears we’re off riding on a technically adept roller with plenty of groove to get your teeth into and a host of edits to keep you guessing. 

On the flip, Gamma, takes things up a couple of gears with the aptly named track Warthog. An unruly beast of a track that kicks you hard in the face and give you a solid pummeling all the way through. Another strong single from the Plasma camp to finish off the summer.

Kalane does none of the above. Instead, he conjures up bad boy bashy drums, paired alongside tough bass hooks to get your blood pressure peaking.

His debut EP on Truth Hertz includes three original tracks (one of those being a collaboration with R3IDY) that do just that and more.

Is This Real harks back the hey day of Fabio’s Swerve weekdays, rolling and soulful. It has a lovely female vox that plays out over its reversed counterpart. The bass is an interplay of the live sounding mid and deep sub bass with shuffling drums and dream like pads providing the soundscape.

Integral release number 30 switches up the vibe with HLZ’s solo debut EP for the label; three incredible tracks exploring a contemporary tech sound that is as hard-edged as it is deep with a digital only bonus to boot. Introducing the “Rem World EP”.
*“Theia” on the A side features an eerie cinematic intro that drops into a big stomper; its huge, well-oiled yet nasty chainsaw bassline is complemented by effortless vocal cutaways and washing pads morphing in and out of the techier elements. Sharp and heavy hitting, this epic tune comes crashing into full effect on a big system at the dancefloor’s peak and is being exclusively featured in sets from tastemakers Artificial Intelligence and Andy C.
*On the flip an extraterrestrial experiment by the name of “Rem World” instantly captures. Its provocative female robotic spoken word layered over funk-fuelled, crisp drum patterning and cinematic soundscape reeks of attitude; reminiscent of Jonny L’s legendary sound of the mid-late nineties. High levels of punch and edge with ample cool factor intact; the intricate breaks programming on this track is exemplary.
*“Roads” continues to explore the business of neuro funk with big dancefloor sound in mind. Stunning pads wafting in and out of slick and punchy beats, makes this yet another superb production.
*For the digital release only, a bonus track by the name of “Nebulosa” rounds off a truly fantastic EP. Futuristic and driving, the stunning grooves of this tune take you on a subliminal journey rich in inspiration, coming at all angles – from techno music and oldschool funk to the golden era of techstep.

It has been almost two years since Strictly Deep DNB released it's last various artists EP called 'Reflection' and since then has released a slew of tracks. While reflecting upon these past years, we felt that it was time for another go and are releasing the result of that today in the form of our second various artists EP called 'Perspective'! We are very happy to bring you this varied selection of tracks ranging from the melodic deep end of liquid to the realms of techy shoe throwers. We are very proud of this and hope you enjoy it as much as us!
