Welcome to Plastic Fantastic, The Vinyl Only Show...

... Let's journey back to the early 1990s, where memories of warehouse parties, vibrant nightclubs, and unforgettable illegal raves in the Welsh countryside come rushing back. The energy, sweat, and booming beats that filled those nights, followed by endless dancing, gurning and nonsensical conversations until the early hours of lunchtime with friends. It's these nostalgic and intoxicating moments that inspired me to create this mix.

Although my musical taste has evolved and expanded over the years, I still have a soft spot for the electronic, breakbeat, and soulful sounds that dominated my youth. This month's Plastic Mix* takes you on an introspective journey through a carefully curated collection of vinyl records, spanning from 1986 Chicago classics to deep house, Italo-house, disco, French house, and even some good old UK old skool/hardcore classics.

A special shoutout to Jas, our guest producer, who subjected herself to five consecutive listens of this mix (at her request) and confirmed its undeniable 'banging' quality. We hope you'll agree with her findings.
