We present Charlotte, the debut EP of the new creator and performer woodmoon. Working with improvisation, Short but with impressive emotional depth, this release is filled with serenades of lo-fi acoustic goth and folk music. Very dark, sometimes omnious and dissonant but yet beautiful, sincere and melancholic: one can shurely hear the sonatas of broken hearts and the dancing trees admist dark forests from those loose string, echoings in the void.

Vaporwave has become a popular and disseminated genre trough the internet culture, for its truly peculiar aestethic. But i think it is truly looked down upon by the majority, who could see it as a practical joke, and not REAL music. But as a lover of this genre so rich,and at this height with multiple subgenres and creators, i defend its veracity, as a brilliant form of expression, that brings a possibility of creating unique and deep soundscapes, textures and feelings that no other genre could in the same way. So i think it truly fit our label pourpose.

Scripted with automatic writing and dark surrealistic lyrics, the haunting chords and vocal melodies are improvised, using only a old guitar with the help of a little coffee mug as slide (hugely influenced by “Mississipi” Fred mcdowell). Shurely the troubles and pain of the autor are heard, as meant to be in this amazing and unique genre, but also the the human struggle,and condition, and the beauty in the pure act of creation, captured here, muddy and weepy.
