something... happened to wish. something with wish did not work. to everyone who worked on this film, i commend the presumably countless sleepless nights putting it together. but the final film is... a bit baffling? it made me really sad as a lifelong disney fan to watch, and i don't think that was their goal. it lacked the... magic? depth? storytelling? a plot? music with a consistent sense of lyrical thought or rhythm? 

my friends and i got particularly obsessed with the music not sounding quite right since it first started being previewed. obsession lead to tinkering, lead to a full rewrite of the flagship song. i could talk for hours about my process and intention here, but all that matters is that asha feels like she has a true and clear purpose. i think i got it there, despite my lackluster skills at wrangling a digital orchestra.
