Back on June 19th 2015 I was in Las Vegas performing at EDC. On that night I shared the stage with Mark Knight, Chus & Ceballos and Prok & Fitch to just name a few. After beginning the unveiling process for our 16th birthday lineup at the beginning of the month with the 4 deck master Ben Sims, we've moved our way through the cast of artists who'll be bringing the magic to our 30 hour celebration with techno pioneer Marcel Dettmann completing the bill yesterday. In all we've lined up 14 guests to play alongside our residents Craig Richards and Terry Francis although there will be one more surprise to come at the party itself.

As a perfect demonstration of exactly the type of thing that occurs when Dettmann is at the controls, we recorded his set from his last EC1 appearance back in August which is the perfect bang with which to present our 16th Birthday Weekend lineup in full...

Amazing live DJ mix from the late John Peel's Maida Vale studio.

Jeff Mills is one of the biggest names in techno. Hailing from Detroit, he was a founding member of the noted label Underground Resistance before moving to NY in 1992 to pursue a solo career. Famed for his stripped-down, pounding industrial DJ sets, Mills plays regularly in London at his Lost club nights. Mills' music fuses acid and industrial techno with the typically sparse hardcore of Detroit. His releases include two full-length volumes of 'Waveform Transmissions' (Tresor), a live album and rarities collection for the British label React, and the first album in a new contract with Sony Japan, as well as a handful of 12-inch EPs on Axis and several collaborations with Robert Hood on his M-Plant label. In 2000, Mills scored a new soundtrack for Fritz Lang's 'Metropolis'.
