Dust off the disco ball, because we’re proudly introducing the latest addition to the Kraak & Smaak 20 year anniversary remix project. This time, the collaboration with Melbourne-based musician Cleopold on Alone With You gets a thorough 80s makeover from the Sydney-based duo Lazywax.

Comprising long-time friends Hans Müller (also known as KESMAR) and Wolfgang Schneider (Tim Ayre), Lazywax draws inspiration from modern European disco while keeping the retro vibes of 70s and 80s Disco gods alive. The result is a quintessentially discotheque sound that will have 
you swaying from side to side with its arpeggiated guitar licks and heart-pounding snare hits.
With a steady flow of re-imaginations for acts such as L’Impératrice, classixx, Roosevelt and Poolside among others, we’re thrilled to add their vision to the Kraak & Smaak remix catalogue. The Australian duo injects all the classic bells and whistles into their remix, ensuring that it is ready to hit the roller disco rink near you.

PREMIERE: Kraak & Smaak – Alone With You (Feat. Cleopold) (Lazywax Remix)

Deon Custom arrives on Terrorhythm in the shape of The Bliss E.P.

A 4 track journey through Dutchman Deon Custom's colourful take on beats and bass begins with a brief encounter in the Angelic Garden, short and sweet at just 1:28, it sets the scene perfectly for the remainder of the trip ahead.

Moving on the listener is welcomed neatly into the title track, Bliss, which is drenched in the cutest kind of technicolour synthesis and vocal cuts you'd expect from Deon, who dazzled listeners with his work on his album, Ametrine, released on Basserk last year.

Picking up the pace, Circles rolls in at 150bpm, with more colourful and energetic flutters and edits as it moves along. Deon Custom's trademark brightness shines through on this summery number which is sure to feature in plenty of those warm weather sets this season.

Closing out the 4 track E.P. is Feathers, which teases you in before a crescendo of brass and synths, paired with military-esque drum work. It winds in and out, constantly changing it's energy throughout. A perfect closure to the E.P., and Deon's debut on the label.

Warming us up nicely for the Boiler Room x Closed Sessions showcase this Friday is this exclusive Debut from Closed Sessions affiliate, BoatHouse. Smoothness comes naturally to this twenty-something Chicagoan producer of downbeat hip hop, a trait shown in abundance with his latest GIRL EP, forthcoming on Closed Sessions.

Dropping in full in a couple of weeks' time, the EP is a homage to women in the form of music. Today's Debut and our pick of the bunch, "Taylor (Lady In Red)" is a joint to ease us perfectly into the mood for Friday night's broadcast live from New York City. Don't sleep.

After getting ins on the debut release from Lobster Theremin's Distant Hawaii imprint, we're straight onto the next, with a track from DJ Sonikku's Secret Island EP, dropping at the end of next month.

Directly inspired by and conjured up from the dreamy 16-bit realms of the Sega Megadrive, the London-based DJ Sonikku has used the legendary game console as a proto-MPC platform to assemble Secret Island's three Internet-centric tracks. Our top pick, "On the Rocks" provides the release with a tropical intermission. Steel drums energise the track with a calypso house undertone, with the tinker-toy motif upholding the track's atmosphere of a lackadaisical beach-scape.

Secret Island drops in full on November 27th.

Joe Cowie aka Kahwe has cut his teeth in the clubs of North England, warming up for the likes of Levon Vincent, Ben Klock, Leon Vynehall and Prosumer at his Selective Hearing residency. Meanwhile, his first two EPs on Anjunadeep have been acclaimed by Resident Advisor and supported by Laurent Garnier, Larry Heard and Mr. G.

His growing also taken him to Ibiza where he played the notorious Space Terrace, and with h San Salvadore EP’ set for release this November on Anjunadeep, he further establishes himself as one of the UK’s brightest talents.

Title track ‘San Salvadore’ is a laid-back dancefloor roller, full of glistening melodies and intricate synths. ‘Prophets’ sees Joe indulge his nostalgic side, with bright melodies bubbling above a warm groove and throwback vocal in this slice of classic deep house.

Rounding of the EP is ‘Patterns’, a surefire party-starter built around a killer bass groove. A serious dancefloor weapon in the right hands.

Following on from last year's infectiously weird Rooster EP, Bullion (Nathan Jenkins) now presents his debut Loop The Loop album on his DEEK label. Nathan evolves Rooster's sprightly electronic feel in Loop The Loop, with the inclusion of vocals adding to the record's warm-heartedness. Our choice "Never is the Change" sustains the playful, pleasantly lackadaisical feel of the entire oeuvre, with its lopsided percussion and reverb-drenched, pitch-slid guitars.
