Having spent seven years in Tokyo, Millie has nurtured a loving familiarity for an Asian style in her selections, a passion for the otherworldly that has thrived with her friend Michaela Greibach as ‘Loose Leaf’. The innovative radio show (1020 and Noods) and event series that looks to alter the shape of dance music in the fertile Bristol music scene.

Millie provides an effortless guide through her eclectic collection, providing a little flavour of the refreshingly alternative Loose Leaf style; from Blues, through Progressive Rock and Psychedelic Jazz, to Global Funk, and everything in between.

It’s that time of the year again! We will head off to the the other side of the world on the 3rd and 4th of March for the second edition of Dekmantel Festival São Paulo. As a warm-up, we continue our mini podcast series and after Cashu's kick off, it's rising talent Barbara Boeing's turn.

Part of the Alter Disco collective, Boeing flies sky high with her disco-pop-odd ball, easy riding sets. Think edits, think five-decades of music to pull from, think good time vibes, and you’ll understand why taking a journey with Barbara Boeing comes so highly recommended.

Her podcast for us showcases this talent over the course of roughly 50 minutes. Boeing has the Balearics in her blood, and she doesn't disappoint for sure.

End of last year i played my first all nighter in Paris at Djoon and here is the first hour of what turned into many many colourful hours! 

Thanks to everyone who keeps coming out whenever i play - it means a lot to me and hopefully u can still hear and feel that!

Hunee - Live at Djoon (All Nighter - December 2017)

Nu Guinea came together over a love of studio jam sessions. The Berlin based Italians fuse live instrumentals and synthesisers that journey to far corners fo the musical world, from weird disco to exotica, world grooves via ethno rhythms. Their most adventurous work has come in the form of albums on their own NG Records as well as Early Sounds Recordings, one of which found them rewire original Tony Allen drum recordings with their own jazz-funk vibes.

In the mix for us this week they stir up a steamy summer session of boogie bass, township funk and squelchy synth goodness. It’s 90 minutes of storytelling music that speaks of a lifetime of digging deep into local sounds and scenes and stitching them all together with the sort of underlying grooves that transcend boundaries and bring people together under the sun.
