Real name Davide Disanto is a 90’s powerhouse producer and DJ born in Bari, Italy.
His house tracks are groovy and heavy stomping with classic drums, featuring disco jazz samples to provide his classic house signature.
In addition to DJ’ing and producing music, David is the Founder of Theory Of Swing Records, a vinyl only Imprint where he’s is going to bring back this 90’s magic feel of the past.

The idea for this mix came from a podcast I originally did for https://soundcloud.com/kamikaze-space-programme this is essentially an extended version of what I did for him. It's a mix up of very early influence records for me mostly from the 80's almost all of it pre House or Techno leaning pretty heavily on the old fashioned cut & paste mix style which was also a huge influence for me.

One Album Per Hour - Edinburgh Fringe 2014

This month, a huge fan of mine sadly passed away and I was asked if I could do a mix to be played at his funeral. He’d actually messaged me the week before saying he was coming to see me play at a gig. Eddy, like me, loved and lived for music. I didn’t know him on a 'best friends' personal level, but when I did spot him on the dancefloor there was that inevitable connection that you can only feel through music. You know – that feeling you get when something happens in the music where you both smile and think ‘yup, we’re on the same trip here – and my god listen to that riff!’. Sure I was the one playing the music, but it was the music that was in control here – not me, not him, not even life itself. 

When I heard of his passing I felt a huge sadness. The reality that nothing lasts forever - apart from music and memory - hit me. I can’t explain why I wanted to do this mix for him – I just did. I suppose I wanted to make something for a fellow music lover that goes some way to define the passion we all feel for this powerful force called music. 

Eddy loved the hard trance I play, so I picked music from a very personal point in my life when I used to work for one of the most amazing hard trance labels in the world – Bonzai. I pulled out some of the best music I was involved in during that period and put it together in a 38 minute mix. It was actually suppose to be only 30 minutes, but it didn’t tell the whole story without the last track, so I kept going.

As I write this, his funeral is today. I'm told the mix will be played as people enter the church.  Apparently glow sticks will be thrown into the coffin. ‘Firestarter’ will be played as he leaves to the other-side. When I go to that great place in the sky, I hope someone is left in this world that will do the same for me. Fun, friends, family, people you meet along the way are all so amazing, so precious of course, but life is nothing without music. Nothing. RIP Eddy x

Anyone who knows me, knows how i love an afterparty! Especially one of those ones back at my place where everyone involved tries to find their weirdest / trippiest music and funniest you tube clip in contribution to the vibes at the party. This mix has been a labor of love for the best part of the last year for me and something i've been really excited to share with the world. Welcome to my Roadshow of wrong! a new series of mixtapes and parties for the late night thinkers out there!

I have taken inspiration from Chris Morris's old Warp records podcasts here and things like adult Swim's "off the air" series a mix of great music and comedy. I wanted to design something that the listener can sit down with people they love, put their feet up, get in the zone, form a cuddle puddle if at all possible and listen to these mixes like watching a good movie. I done a gig in istanbul. There were girls in headscarves and girls in shorts, there were ravers and religiously conservative people there. As i write this, Turkey is in revolt against a democratically elected demagogue who imprisons journalists, political opponents and seeks to deepen the divide between the progressive and the traditional. I post this mix in solidarity for the liberal minded in Turkey who fear marginalization at the hands of Erdogan. I met some awesome people out there and i sincerely hope they and their country pull through without the need for any more violence or oppression.
