Oh, what a year Glenn Astro had last year. Appearances on DJ Kicks (Brandt Brauer Frick) and Brownswood, umpteen remixes, and a string of beautifully-crafted EPs perforated 2014. This year is set to eclipse that. Buddying up with Max Graef, his new imprint Money $ex Records took flight in January and sold out pronto. Good luck finding a version on Discogs.  A debut longplayer on Tartelet Records - quickly becoming an office favourite - is on its way this spring too.

In between these comes the Hologram EP, two years after his first release on WotNot. "User’s Guide To" is the ultimate tutorial in dusty house, with rolling layers of percussion over smooth synth chords. All-in-all a great record to kick off a year that will see new records from K15, Kab Driver, Alphabets Heaven, and some new faces on WotNot.

DJ Qu and his penchant for sinister, house-y brilliance casts a shadow over our Debuts series today. The NYC gent has enjoyed an impressive run of releases for his Strength label over the years and racked up the air miles on his regular international excursions. 

"SS1" beats along the same trodden path of unerring four-to-the-floor - rhythmic, synth stabs and body-jerking percussive sways galore. It'll find a home on Secret Sundaze, that notoriously good Sunday daytime party and imprint from inner city London.

Ready yourself for its release on March 30 and get yourself down to the Secret Sundaze Easter party on April 2 to shake a leg.

From 22Recordings, we want to express our support for the difficult situation currently unfolding in Valencia. With love for the community that gave birth to and has passionately embraced our sound, we've put together a special music compilation, available on Bandcamp starting today and for the next three months.
All proceeds will be donated to the Fundación Horta Sud and to organizations dedicated to animal welfare.
