Make no bones about it, Mala's Deep Medi label is a true bastion of dubstep. Since kicking off in 2006, the imprint has been a haven for experimentation, heralding artists — including the likes of Pinch, Swindle and Silkie — intent on tugging the foundations of dub sound in new directions (implementing grime, jazz and other elements along the way).

The Medi motor is still firing deep into 2015, having recently ushered in MEDiLP011 — a collaborative effort from Kahn, Commodo and Gantz. So what better time to bring the family together again after four years of BR silence?

Mala is joined by a line-up of heavyweight BR debutants: Kahn and Neek come as Gorgon Sound, Gantz makes the trip over from Turkey, and Dubkasm from Bristol. All powered by the robust Sinai sound system.

Expect a truckload of dubplates and exclusives. Keep your Medi deep indeed.

Soul Ex Machina is proud to announce its first vinyl release, featuring a hot three-tracker from Prague based producer with Slovak origins - EchoBoy. His background in digital reggae, as a former half of the Riddim Tuffa duo has clearly left its mark on the foundation of his current production. Delving in contemporary sounds from the deeper side of dubstep, infused with strong roots and dub influences, while keeping a steadfast focus on the current production standards. The EP is a testament to EchoBoy's skill as a producer, demonstrating his ability to weave together diverse elements into a cohesive result that is both innovative and deeply satisfying. The three tracks on "Roots of Dub EP" showcase his unique approach to his influences.

"Roots of Dub" is the first track on the EP, and it is a slow-burning masterpiece with a deep, rumbling bassline that gradually builds in intensity with each passing moment. The track draws inspiration from the rich tradition of dub music, with haunting melodies and subtle effects that create a hypnotic soundscape."We Lock Down The Block" is the second track on the EP. A heavy-but-soothing tune with a driving rhythm and powerful, deep and melodic bassline that will get any sound system shaking. The track builds up a meditative scape before the bassline drops in, hitting hard and leading the attention. Finally, "Chords Trip" takes a more minimalist approach, featuring ethereal melodies and sparse percussion that combine to create an immersive listening experience. The use of atmospheric sounds and effects creates a dreamy vibe, taking the listener on a journey through EchoBoy's unique soundscape.

The combination of EchoBoy's refined sound and Soul Ex Machina's commitment to delivering the best in cutting-edge electronic music promises to make this a standout release. The EP is set to drop on 2nd of June 2023.

Released in December 2017, 'Easy' EP was Dutchie's debut release on Hold Tight Records, and is still one of the most celebrated releases on the label to this day. Over two years later, we are excited to share this brand new take on the title track, courtesy of Elefant Doc. Hailing from California, USA, Elefant Doc has taken Dutchie's stems and sent them up into the stratosphere, resulting in a deep and sonically rich dub version that truly pays homage to the original.
