Not only has he helped alert the ears and feet of listeners to some of footwork and juke’s finest (RP Boo, Ripatti, Jana Rush) through his Planet Mu imprint, he’s also found the time to produce some of his own stellar works under his Tusken Raiders moniker (as well as its subsidiaries). His exclusive Bleep mix is loaded with his own cuts, ranging from interstellar ambient techno to menacing D&B beatings. Hello everyone ! We are back from summer holidays with a special guest mix by Robert Heise aka The Exaltics ! For over 20 years by now Robert is a part of the electronic music scene. He founded the project The Exaltics in 2006 as well as the electro/ techno label SolarOneMusic with his long term friend Nico Jagiella. Since then he published countless 12"s and several LP's with labels like Clone, Crème Organization, Bunker or his own label Solar One Music and worked during that time with outstanding artists like Drexciya´s Gerald Donald, Helena Hauff or ERP for example. He turned his deep cinematic and most of all charismatic electro into his own trademark. Another signature are his special dark driven Acid Techno. During his intense live performances Robert present his unique version of electro and acid music. So, we are very pleased and happy to share The Exaltics guest mix. Enjoy !

Darrel Woollard, better known as Dawl (@dawl), has been tirelessly carving his path through the world of electronic music for decades. As the head of the Tone Dropout label, which he runs alongside Sween, Dawl skillfully digs into the golden era of techno, electro, bleep, and hardcore.
He bought his first records back in '88, and by the following year, he was already spinning them on his own turntables. Since then, he hasn’t stopped DJing, releasing, and remixing, with his signature appearing on labels such as Klasse Wrecks, Craigie Knowes, Furthur Electronix, Amen Brother, and many others.

Electro Boogie (episode 40: Infiltrate Records special)

This month’s show features DJ and producer @juan-atkins, also known as Model 500 or Infiniti, and the music of his fabled label Metroplex. 

Launched in 1985, Metroplex opened with the Model 500 EP "No UFOs." The global demand for his new sound provided Atkins with an outlet for a string of iconic releases. 40 years on, he remains deeply committed to pushing the boundaries of sonic exploration.

For Carhartt WIP Radio, Juan Atkins has created a Metroplex anniversary mix that underlines the label’s innovative style, with tracks by himself, as well as his daughter Milan Ariel, and producers like Robert Hood.

Carhartt WIP Radio May 2025: Juan Atkins - Metroplex

If you ever witnessed a performance by Melvin Oliphant III aka Traxx, you know that the man is more than just your average DJ or producer. Genre-bending and constantly in a state of trance, Traxx is a unique species in our contemporary world of electronic music. All comes forth out of a endless love for music that catches his ear and instantly sets all motion in his body in progress. Seeing him play a deck-segment for the first time will probably knock you out of your shoes as his intense, expressive way of experiencing the music he plays is unparalleled. Not only are his performances not to be missed, his contribution to the Jakbeat movement via his Nation imprint amongst other affiliated labels and his own productions and collaborations are on a similar level.

In 2013 Traxx closed out the smallest stage stage of the first edition of Dekmantel Festival, to prepare the inauguration of a long-standing commitment between Nation and Dekmantel that went into it's third time this year, when Traxx got up on the decks of  the Melkweg Club to close out Saturdays Dekmantel by Night.

Nation decided to share with us in this podcast of the recording from that first night in 2013. An energy-level so intense that brought the crowd into a frenzy, while dancing in the rain.

One of our all time favourites delivers a 4,5-hour long live recording for this week’s Dekmantel Podcast: BMG is the man in charge of the Interdimensional Transmissions label and Ectomorph - two dynamic, long-standing Michigan institutions. Brendan M. Gillen is part of the history of Detroit as much as the acclaimed superstars. Through a network of pseudonyms such as Ectomorph, BMG, Flexitone, Existence And Uniqueness Of Solutions and others he wrote pages and pages of history. Gillen will play this year’s Dekmantel Festival By Night as part of the No Way Back showcase, featuring Bryan Kasenic, Carlos Souffront, Erika, and Derek Plaslaiko. The mix was recorded at a The Bunker Limited night at Trans Pecos.
