his week’s mix comes from Balamii resident, Coop Audio affiliate and Free Range founder Donwella. Informed by her time living in South Africa and London, Donwella’s eclectic sonic palette has been blowing us away each and every month on her regular self-titled show on Balamii.

As well as broadcasting, Donwella selects as part of the Coop Audio collective, a non-profit soundsystem group based between London and Bristol, and also runs Free Range, a monthly party in London featuring some of the best selectors the UK has to offer.

This week, we're starting the week off just right...this mix does it all:

“Ascending and descending through a spectrum genres, from hip-hop, to neosoul, funk, house, broken beat, garage – with jazz as the thread that flows through it all! Topping and tailing with some beautiful South African Jazz, starting at the 70s and ending at the present day.”

This week we have one of this year's most exciting producers Project Pablo aka Patrick Holland. Raised in Vancouver but currently based in Montreal, Holland is one of the most notable figures of the current canadian house music scene. He is the head honcho of ASL Singles Club and counts with releases on his own label and an LP on label-du-jour 1080p .

In fact, last month 1080p re-released his LP I Want To Believe on vinyl format, which marked the labels first venture into the 12 inches.

His so called sun-drenched signature sound is as audible in his productions as in his mixes. For this 10TRAX he offers a selection composed of local favourites such as Khotin and House of Doors as well as some nice digs, notably Tuelé’s Drink On Me (a favourite here at Undermad).

Right now PP is about to go on a european tour. His first dates in the continent promise to be nights to remember so if you happen to be in London, Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam or Brussels in October be sure to catch him.

Next month Rhythm Section International will release an album from Australian three man outfit Retiree. The long form assortment of abstract cuts and intriguing twists has a conceptual nature and has allowed the group to focus on a variety of themes whilst exploring the deinition of "house" and "home". The group is made up of Matt Crowley, Tori Holleman and Marco Vella who each compose various elements on the new forthcoming LP. Bradley Zero, the man behind Rhythm Section, has long since formed a close bond with the Australian musical community and has regularly championed upcoming artists from the country. Their appearance makes sense. 

We invited the group to record a mix for us which features music by the likes of Visible Cloaks, Gerry Read and Tori Holleman.
