This is the recording of my DJ set at Berghain on sunday morning 6th of February 2011, between 8 and 12am. Deep respect to Stroboscopic Artefacts for having me as part of the line-up, the Berghain crew for being the perfect hosts and last but not least that massive pack of dancing nutters on the floor (especially the Belgian delegation present for the occasion). When I came to London last year to join fabric and head the A&R for the artist led label Houndstooth I got dragged down to Hackney Wick for what was going to be a life changing techno event of the rawest level. This happening is what has inspired my series of Warehouse Sessions, where I have reached out to my favourite techno artists and asked them to get inspired by that unique thump thump betwixt concrete sounds that industrialised techno spaces always provoke and provide a suitably banging mix for my Electronic Explorations podcast series.
This week I've kicked off another round of mixes lead by Our Circula Sound man Sigha, London resident Ø [Phase], Semantica Records boss and Spanish producer Svreca, Italian producer and co-owner of Repitch Records Shapednoise (One half of Violetshaped) and finally a US producer who has released on Sandwell District & Stroboscopic Artefacts, Rrose.
December 2012 brought mixes by USA producer Skirt, UK producer Truss aka MPIA3, Stormfield & myself, Irish and Greek producers AnD and French producer Kangding Ray (his being voted EE mix from all shows in 2012)

A Sunday afternoon delight from two of techno's most beloved heavy-hitters arrives exclusively on our Soundcloud.

Berlin techno viking and founder of Dystopian Records Rødhåd and the young, accomplished and Mote-Evolver regular Rene Wise have released their 4 hour set recording from March 2023, a huge B2B session that saw the pair delve in and out of eachother’s company for our last Continuum party. They played an extended set during the final Continuum 24+hour party of the season this Spring. 

The session, which started at 4pm as the tail end of the afternoon drew in and went on til 8pm ahead of a closing set from Ben Klock and Marcel Dettmann, proved to be one of our highlights from the event. It's a real treat to be able to share the full recording; smashers from the get-go that takes us through the hard and heavy, to the atmospheric and energetic.

Lock in below and transport to the incomparable energy of Room 1 on a Sunday afternoon. Sometimes, we reckon, there's no place like it.

...Behind the decks, Rødhåd's style is slick, loopy and hypnotic. It's a sound he developed playing extended sets in Berlin clubs, and when coupled with his deft mixing, it makes for some truly immersive moments. Despite his newfound acclaim, Rødhåd hasn't departed from the subtle, often melancholic tones of his early career. On his RA podcast, he demonstrates his trademark style of brooding hypnotism, delicately stitching peak-time cuts with poignant atmospherics…
