"The influence and presence of trap and rap in dance/experimental is obviously massive, and the lines between genres are more blurred than ever. HAJJ, however, says this is a recent thing; “I find that the electronic scene in France is just starting to encourage the integration of this culture. Not so long ago people insulted me when I played rap/trap in my sets.”

The underpinning idea for this compilation brought electronic producers not explicitly of that world to unpick whatever boundaries remain and contribute tracks for a mixtape – while a few of the artists are more obviously ready to “play the game” and already make music which exists pretty close to this horizon, this has been a challenge to think creatively for a few of the other artists invited."

Her work pulls from childhood fantasy and nostalgia resulting in audio and visual experiences that encapsulate the innocence of being lost in the realm of imagination.

This week have have another guest hailing from Tiohtià:ke/Montreal. This time, @dj_ekhan graces the Windsor/Detroit airwaves with an untamed and energetic eclectic soup of sounds. Growing up in the Toronto area, KHAN's move out east allowed them to explore exciting and interesting facets of their musical and personal identity. As a result, their sounds are raw, emotional, and chaotically curated with each set.

This week's mix feature's Taiwan based hard drum heavy weight, B E N N. After an extended stop over in London, B E N N temporarily returned to Taiwan inspired, with a commitment to create. He has since been producing high definition, percussion-heavy hard drum tracks at a furious rate. His style draws from genres on the bass continuum, merged with traditional Taiwanese sounds and his innate and unique sense of rhythm.
With the influences of hard drum, he attempts to reach out to diverse dimensions of production, with natural sounds blending into different asian vibes with broken beats. B E N N has releases by labels like The Collection Artuard, Kepasaparodoks and Early Reflex,
which also got him chances appearing on radio shows such as NTS, Balamii, Ma3aze,HKCR.

His upcoming EP will be released by London based label House of Reptile Records, also participate in the compilations by labels such ​​as chanoirs, Club Late Music and Jupiter4.
