‘Set It Off’ is an archetypal demonstration of the trio’s flair for creating depth within a production. Inspired by Strafe’s 1984 electro funk classic on the same name and spanning everything from retro-synths to techy elements the track is a true illustration of their wide musical compass, with an organic sounding guitar reflecting their early roots in punk music. Never ones to rest on their laurels, this cut is a further string to their evermore impressive bow, coming as it does at the tail end of Tuber & Berger’s most triumphant year to date with a momentum they will unquestionably carry on into the next.

In celebration of @groove-armada-1 's 25th anniversary of 'At The River', Sydney-born producer @logic1000 remixes infectious Ibiza classic 'My Friend' encompassing elements of garage, deep house, and her intensely club-oriented sounds.

"Remixing such a classic was an absolute honour. I have such strong memories of the vocal in 'My Friend' from way back, so it was really fun to recontextualise it into something Logic-esque," says the producer on her latest edit.

Northern Irish DJ, Producer and label head honcho Hammer AKA Rory Hamilton announces a new Various Artists compilation titled Remmah Rundown, championing up-and-coming and established artists from across his musical sphere. The project will be released in March via his Remmah imprint with the first double-sided singles Sickwave – a collaboration with KILIMANJARO – and I Know from Tokyo’s Remmy. 

The first single to drop is titled 'Sickwave', a collaboration with Scottish producer and DJ, KILIMANJARO. It sees the two producers team up once again following their entry into Beatportal’s 50 top tracks of 2022 with the Tornado Wallace remix of their track 'Muleña'. KILIMANJARO combines his background of afro-centric rhythms and influences, infused with fast-paced energies of the western electronic scene. Known for his high-energy performances and his infectious crowd-raising persona, the past year has seen him return to the studio, bringing with him his rhythmic energy and completely unique vocal style to all of his production. 'Sickwave' carries an infectious grooving beat that represents both of what Hammer and KILIMANJARO do so well.

It’s a cracking release all round, but this one is truly the pick of the litter. With a nagging vocal line, sharp claps, synths that feel like lasers scything through smoke on the dancefloor, and even a few whistle parps to draw a (white) line under the point, it’s just about as steeped in rave culture as the man himself. “Bang It” at every opportunity you get this summer.
