Dawn Razor and Confluence have proven, again, that they are at the top of the game when it comes to broken, bass heavy Techno.

 With the bunch of releases on ARTS, Flightpath, Credo and Dext - their music receiving support from some of the biggest names, such as Richie Hawtin, Chris Liebing, Scuba, Rødhad, Marco Bailey, Pan-Pot, Joey Beltram, Shed, and Answer Code Request, it's no wonder their tracks are frequently found in the mixes and playlists of these industry heavyweights.

Prolific dj and producer, label owner and promoter - Dawn Razor, conjures up a deft, future-focused productions that paints a rich landscape of exciting sounds that push the boundaries of modern electronic music in a myriad of new directions and has been killing` the game since 2015.

Confluence, aka Evgeny Chizhkov, a native of the small town of Dobryanka, Perm region in Russia, a techno-pioneer of the local movement, behind him more than 10 years of DJ career, one of the pioneers of local techno raves, has been actively producing his own music for about 7 years, is currently a member of the Perm community and a series of podcasts - Esthetica.
 In the Confluence style, there is an academic Detroit interspersed with classic EBM and German electro early 00s, the influence of the English broken beat school and leftfield house is also traced.

Boundary-defying British artist Tommy Four Seven has been a respected visionary in the international techno scene for almost two decades. Since launching to global notoriety, he has continued to be an in-demand selector and producer known for his ability to capture the dance floor with a palette of dynamic sounds and rhythms.

As accomplished in the studio as he is behind the decks, Tommy has built an extensive discography that's grown in parallel with his touring career. His critically acclaimed debut LP, Primate, imaginatively fused off-kilter rhythms with four-to-the-floor minimalism, while his follow-up album, Veer, excavated even more daring and driving techno-adjacent territory. 

47, Tommy’s own imprint, is responsible for some of the most innovative techno in the scene today. Its recent 2.0 relaunch has cemented his singular stylistic approach; in the last two years, it has showcased up-and-coming artists like Quelza, Tauceti and VSK, who stand for the sleek and sophisticated aesthetic that Tommy threads through his own mixes and productions. The iconic Ellen Allien’s journey through the years is a blueprint for a healthy underground community and grounded career in music. Her playful mind and openness to sharing knowledge, imbues her art with an energy and inspiration that’s been highly influential to the subculture across music, art, design and fashion in her native Berlin. A constant source of new ideas, energy and inspiration, Ellen’s comprehensive knowledge and intuitive approach to music is part of her genetic makeup, she has cultivated her own identity while also guiding the evolution of electronic music worldwide. Her future-facing sound takes influence from the early pioneers of techno, while painting a vivid, prophetic image of where we’re going next. Over ten albums, and countless singles, EPs, remixes and collaborations, Ellen’s carved her own niche in dark rave and techno, and presiding over a self-made empire and deep roots in the community. 

In her role as head of BPitch since 1999, and UFO Inc. since 2019, Ellen channels her ceaseless passion for digging into A&R, seeking out and nurturing new talent, alongside established artists and friends. She’s a Ellen Allien artist biography - 2023 dynamic selector who prides herself on her extensive knowledge of music and dance floors, travelling the globe as a DJ she’s played at every major club and festival on the circuit. She’s run the We Are Not Alone parties in her hometown of Berlin over the past years. The 50 hour raves over 3 floors began at Griesmühle and now home at RSO, with the party now touring worldwide. During the pandemic she channelled her energy into supporting the community and connecting with her fans over her intimate Balcony Streaming sessions, hosted from her home in Berlin.

Horses at Night

Following on from the success of their debut single Loframes (London born artist James Yuill and French producer Franck Russo) return with a cover of the classic French House track 'In Love With You' by Paradise (Alan Braxe). One of the duo's favourite tracks, the cover has already received the enthusiastic blessing of Mr Braxe and comes complete with remixes from Parisian producer Monsieur Adi, Brighton’s Aashton and Belgian new-comers Shut Yo Waffle.

With remix credits for the likes of Lana Del Rey and Bastille, Monsieur Adi is one of France’s most exciting and in-demand producers and his remix of ‘ILWY’ shows just why, lowering the tempo whilst raising the funk to turn in an irresistible remix.

Having remixed Loframes debut, Brighton’s Aashton returns with another of his trademark club tools, perfect for when you just want to lock the dancefloor in and take them deep into the mix.

Finally Belgian brother’s Shut Yo Waffle make their debut with a sensational remix, that pits bruising bass line up against rough and ready beats for a mix that’s as tasty and more-ish as their namesake snack. Expect to hear a lot more form them over the coming months.

Loframes - In Love With You

"Uncompromising percussive, bass heavy and dancefloor-ready club music" is the name of the game today. Step forth LDN sentinel and father of the new Sans Absence imprint, Akito. With an already strong reputation for spinning UK Funky and grime - example #1 being that Jerimih vs Wiley mash-up of yesteryear - him and D Warrior's new venture bows at the same tabernacle, albeit "with a slightly more de-saturated sound palette".

Fellow London producer, Luke West, is the first to draw blood with the OOOOO EP, which features three original tracks shouldered by remixes from the label owners. "Worl" is something of a midnight creeper; embodied by an unfussy, yet purposeful drum foundation and brass horn pumps that periodically fly by like road lights on a nocturnal drive.

SANS01 lands on January 22 2016.
