"Just" wastes no time locking the brisk rhythm into place before a wriggling earworm of a lead pans across the channels. Atmospheric swells are pieced by gatling-gun snares; the tension builds but never releases, making this a surefire precursor to the bulk of heavyweight set climaxes you're likely to hear this summer. As ever, the aural equivalent of 20,000 bicep emojis.

Splendor & Squalour number 3 see’s Brame & Hamo return to their rising imprint. Since the boy’s Ep “Lamaj’s Secrets” on Dirt Crew we have seen them do a string of remixes for labels such as Kolor Ltd, Heist & their very successful remix for Harry Wolfman and Loz Goddard’s “Uncle Buck” on Dirt Crew. All these releases have kept a steady momentum going for the Sligo boys in the house Scene.

For this ep we have a full 3 tracker consisting of all original cuts. The EP kicks off with “Kebab Dreams” which takes us on a trip to the moon with greasy drums and saucy groove. Up next is the MPC workout “Cert City” paying homage to their hometown of Sligo. Closing the Ep we have “Retch Wretchedness” which takes a darker turn showing us the spookier side of Brame & Hamo while still keeping the jazzy touch. A peak time track for sure.

French talent S3A showcases the disco-tinged side to his musical persona on his latest funk-infused house cut titled 'Modern Soul', which is featured on the upcoming 'Deep Love 2018' compilation from Dirt Crew Recordings.

The seventh Deep Love compilation in the series is described as the label's most complete stack yet, with a strong cast of producers lending their material, including Lorenz Rhode, Felix Leifur, Ponty Mython, Harry Wolfman and more. 

The 'Deep Love 2018' compilation is set for release September 17.

Russian native, Anton Bogomolov aka Scruscru is back at it following his super successful ‘Romantik EP’ released on Minor Notes Recordings in 2018. Scruscru liberates listeners with soulful experimental beats and an array of notes, keys and sounds that come together with a glorious garage beat brewing just underneath the surface. Tranquil vocals lace the 2-step school house beat. Albert’s Favourites co-founder Adam Scrimshire released his fourth album 'Listeners' in summer 2019. Musically, 'Listeners' draws from Scrimshire's passion for jazz, soul and electronic music of all styles; from an energetic combination of Afrobeat and garage on 'Won't Get Better', to the lushly orchestrated neo-soul of 'Thru You', and the harmonious jazz experimentations of 'I Never'. 

In Spring, Scrimshire releases a huge remix project, featuring Kayla Painter, Hector Plimmer, Red Rack'Em and more. The first remix to be taken from the album is by long-time Scrimshire influence and hero, Nite Jewel. 

Nite Jewel stamps her unique, personal sound all over this version. A digital palette of synths and rhodes playing, drum machines punching through a soul and disco exploration that revels in the sound of Georgia Anne Muldrow's unmistakeable voice. A match made in heaven.

From the moment of its release, the Listeners has generated a huge swell of support, that made many tastemakers' album of the year lists. Listeners has received repeated attention on BBC Radio 6 Music, making Tom Ravenscroft’s recommends playlist, receiving support from Mary Anne Hobbs, Huey Morgan, Steve Lamacq and featuring as an Album of the Day in early August.
