Born Italian but cosmopolitan by nature, Camilla has been living around the world for the past 6 years, and exploring and collecting electronic music for more than a decade. Her passion for sound, community and rave culture got her deeply involved in the scenes of Turin, Lisbon, London, Boston, and New York, where she is now based. 
Oscillating between classic old-school records and the newest sounds, her sets tend to be spacey and acid-heavy, leaning into bass-driven, uplifting beats when the time is right. 
In 2021 Camilla launched Encrypted, her very first party series and soon-to-be record label.

"I always want to challenge myself as a musician." The DJ, producer and T4T LUV NRG cofounder talks about her new live set and overcoming hearing loss live from MUTEK.

Eris Drew is something of a mentor to many, including people she's never met. Her words on psychedelics, the ritual of dancing and other topics have become near-gospel for many fans, and it's always a treat to hear her speak on practically any topic. While many of her discussions veer towards the esoteric or spiritual, when it came time for our live RA Exchange at MUTEK, she wanted to get down to brass tacks about making and playing music.

Ahead of the first North American performance of her stunning live show, Drew sat down with RA's music editor, Andrew Ryce. She spoke at length about her live show and DJing—including her old-school style of mixing she calls "riding the pitch"—and the trials and tribulations of proofing stages and booths for turntable use, hearing protection and more. She spoke with all the authority and feeling she usually does, with a deep, technical knowledge that makes this talk almost as much a tutorial as it was a conversation. I mixed this Early Works Mixtape using only vinyl from 1987 - 2002. All tracks in this mix are my solo Mr.C tracks & remixes with only vocal collaborations except for theopening track, which I did with Eddie Richards as my first ever release. Therefore there's no Shamen, Bass Bureau, Killer Loop, Animus Amor, Sycophant Slags, Indigo Kidz or East LA Tek. Mr.C Collaborations will be a future podcast, as will the Mr.C Latter Works from 2003 - 2020.
