British artist Dax J has gone from pirate radios, to internationally acclaimed headliner, his unyielding passion and attention to high-end sound production has placed him at the forefront of the global scene, and established him as a singular presence within modern dance music. As a DJ, he is known for his unwavering energy and long dark journeys, Dax played a 10hr set at his last performance at Bassiani. His taste and devotion for syncopated rhythms befits an irregular path, carved from a road marking origins in jungle, acid, industrial and straight up classic techno. To mark the release of his new album Utopian Surrealism, the Monnom Black label boss is here with Bassiani Podcast 104: a selection of rough and characteristically uncompromising techno from start to finish.

This time we have a special session from Private Press, one hour of unreleased and forthcoming gems from the duo who dropped their 'Busy Body EP' on Hardgroove in Aug last year. The guys focus on producing high energy dubbed out techno cuts with elements of UK hardcore and hip hop. They are currently working with Earth Trax on their collaborative label Ziemia and have previously released records for  Indigo Aera, Oblique and Rekids

VOLTAGE Podcast is a bi-weekly podcast series, broadcasting both upcoming and well-established artists within the techno scene. Every episode features a lengthy set surrounded by a spoken in- & outro. With her debut release on Coincidence Records in 2018, AADJA will go on to put out a few more projects before scoring an acclaimed 6 track record on Nina Kraviz’s Trip Recordings. ‘Thought Dealer’ hit the scene just last year in 2021, proposing a very relevant collection of tracks high in tempo and in tension. In there, you can hear quite a few worlds - the closer ‘Still Wired’ takes the listener on a nostalgic 160+ bpm acid trance highway, while tracks like ‘Hypomania’ balance it out with a more groovy and tunneling techno that include her own hypnotic vocals and wide filter sweeps and 16th stabs. 

Her career in DJing could only gain traction after a release like that, making her Boiler Room debut in Toronto last year and her 1st Possession in Paris this year in February. With a few more tricks up her sleeve for the coming year, 2022 is looking like her best one yet.
