Native to New York, musclecars is a DJ / Producer duo consisting of Brandon Weems and Craig Handfield. As musicians, they equally share an admiration for the artform. Their desire to blend genres and express their appreciation for music is focused around their community- the end goal is to bring people together. Through a regular stream of high quality mixes, they have begun to turn heads in underground circles.

In 2018 they launched ‘Coloring Lessons’, a party that was aimed to add value to their city’s nightlife culture. While the party and sound is not genre specific, it is heavily focused around house, disco, jazz, and soul, embracing the musical elements of their black and brown ancestors. The monthly party's intention is to bring New York City's dance music scene back to what it was during the golden era of NY nightlife. They aim to spread the music that has been influential to them, and share it with a younger generation of their peers.

To celebrate our 50th episode, we invited one of our biggest inspirations,  the beloved UK producer Nathan Fake, who delivers a 60min mix that blends left-field electronics, dance heaters and techno dreamscapes like no one else does. timeless sounds by a timeless artist.

An outsider artist since day one, Fake uses cheap and easy-to-acquire technology to make his always idiosyncratic sounds. Fake's established himself as a pivotal figure in the world dance culture by producing modern electronic cuts such as 'Outhouse', 'You Are Here' and 'The Sky Was Pink'.
From the early days at the legendary 'Border Community' through 'Ninja Tune' and his own imprint 'Cambria Instruments' Nathan holds 5 studio albums, the latest 'Blizzards' which was described by some, as his best work to date.

Throughout the years he took on a number of impressive and diverse remixes, from Radiohead to Jon Hopkins to Clark, working for labels such as Ninja Tune, Domino and Warp. Extensive touring has taken his sound across the globe, including notable tours with Orbital, Four Tet, Jon Hopkins & Clark.

A Brief Utopia (A project by Jinjé) A Brief Utopia was born from an EP released earlier this year by Jinjé (aka, Lee J Malcolm from Vessels) on Scene Unseen. Stepping away from his usual production duties and focusing more on his passion for live drumming and percussion instruments. This was the starting block for much of the composition on the this record. He quickly realised that this would be a brilliant thing to do live and reached out to fellow musicians Danny Templeman (Submotion Orchestra, Gentleman’s DubClub) and Nathan Moseley (Fwar, Brolin) to put together a high energy show aimed at clubs and festivals alike.A Brief Utopia brings a colourful, vibrant and visually engaging experience. Drawing on a love of music from around the world focused through a lens of live drumming, tuned percussion and psychedelic synth work.

Centered around the theme of midnight cycling, Ueno releases two new digital-only tracks: “Night and Insight” and “Night Cycling.”
“Night and Insight” marks his first use of the clavinet as a lead instrument, blending jazz-inspired chord progressions with unique delay and filter processing for a fresh sonic approach.
“Night Cycling” features trumpeter YNO, who also appeared on “Park Side,” combining lo-fi piano phrases and warm trumpet tones to create a nostalgic, emotional deep house track.
