t's extremely impressive of Boiler Room to, first, sponsor and cover an event like this, and second, pulling it off in what sounds like spectacular fashions. So often music listeners have no idea of the history behind what they're listening to, even the genres and tracks that are their favorites. It is vital that some of the most respected among the electronic music scene, like Boiler Room, help to educate the younger generation by holding shows like this one so they can see and hear some of the music that heavily influenced many of the acts they go to see at festivals and clubs today.

► Performed days before Steve Reich's 80th Birthday, this site specific performance of different trains was the first to pair the piece with a visual element. In the form of an accompanying newly commissioned work by artists and filmmaker Bill Morrison.
